Just when you think you have seen it all (over the last 10 or so threads with this name), its still possible to be genuinely surprised.
Not sure surprised is the way to describe it but the thread sure lost it big time with maybe only 1 in 20 posts being about misprice discussions.
Maybe all future posts about in'ing and out'ing, disclosing pm's, the magic circle, peronal bickering etc should be done on either on the Tescos ethics thread or the Money Savers arms. Maybe an early reminder of what this thread is for (before the arguments became too heated) may have made a difference.
Pity the poor moderator that has to read this thread. On the plus side if a tesco person has to read this as part of their job you can't say they haven't earned their money0 -

they were just trying to wangle their way out of it. you are right 100%.
they cant sell them to you then decide after the event, and when it suits them, that theres a bulk buy policy. great R&R well done0 -

had the same thing with 24 bottles of cider. i got half free, and settled for half for offer price. you could make a scene and call HO and in this instance i think i would as its £150 you are looking at for r+r. call HO, explain you were allowed to purchase 36, so took on a contract with tesco to supply you 36 bottles for 3.99 each. tescos then o/charged you by £1 per bottle, which they have admitted to. all you are asking is for them to honour the policy written in store.
point out that they didn't refuse to sellyou 36 bottles, as they should have if they have a bulk buying policy. anyhow, tescos actively encourage you to buy lots of wine by offering 5% saving for buying more than 6 bottles. solid, guaranteed r+r in my opinion.roll on december 26th : i want my house back!!!!
got it back, just the bloody tree to go now!!!!!0 -
HEY LOOK ---> A MISPRICE DISCUSSION THINGY!!! :j
I was in my local T earlier today and spotted a 6ft high floor display of red label Smirnof Ice boxes priced at two for £16 on an OOD A4 poster that ended on 12.12.06.
Bearing in mind the pages upon pages of nothingness in this thread, I have no idea if this is good or bad or what they go through at. Has anyone got any idea, please?Motorway driver? Don't hog Lane 2 for no reason - there's a good chap.0 -
 The never ending story in here huh with many newcomers.I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0

Hi
Just been catching up and dont understand why Postie was not invited to the circle,I have only been given very sound and helpful advice from him and inturn have passed it on to other R&r's in suffolk by the way of PM's.I have only been on this thread for a short time but thanx to him and his friends i have had the courage to get some things back for all the times my family have been over charged by this all conquering (and not caring for small business's that have taken people years of hard work to create and seen destroyed by their bully boy tactics) company.
If i do manage to find any new items i will still place them on this thread for everyone.
Best Rgds

Hello,
Hope you can help.
I am looking to do some r+r at my local Tesco's in Bury Greater Manchester. I went in the other day trying to find a scanner and could not find any. The only thing I did see was the self scan tills can these be used. With the normal scanners how can you check if a you buy 2 items you get a discount can you scan both items and it will give you the price for both. Anyone got a picture of on of these scanners so I know what I am looking for. For those pepople that do not have scanners in their local Tesco what do you do buy items and hope for the best.
Thanks Mark0 -
the offer has now finished it was a gallo rosey wine i got it when it was on 20% of+5% for buying six or more bottles it would be interesting to know if stores operate a bulk buying policy in all stores with diferant rules or is it national rules made from hq maybe some tesco staff will know this0
