I went to my nearest T tonight and saw the Moto Pebl with the 'wrong' offer. Bought £20 worth of shopping and the phone, went to collect it and then 'noticed' that the £20 hadn't come off (but only after I saw the phone box).

OK Im in a similar position and was hoping for some advise. This is the first time I went for R&R and was a little nervous, anyway the first store I went to had no Pebl in, but I did notice a LG Chocolate for £159.97 or £137.97 after £20 discount. When I did go to the counter, the girl apparently forgot to put the PLU code or something. It came up as full whack so off I went to CS. I waited til I had the phone before mentioning the pricing.

The Duty manager kept saying that the staff member had made a mistake and that you wouldn't honour the R&R, i have photographic evidence (just in case they pull a fast one).

Anyway, left the store and told em I'd be calling HO. What should I do, do you think they'd still honour it or should I just get a complete refund on the lot?

Any advice? Or that fact the the staff member didnt add the PLU code gonna be a problem? The way I saw it at teh time, I paid the wrong price, don't care if it was a staff error, I was still charged the wrong amount, or does this not count?


Next I went to an extra store where I felt more gutsy so off I went for a SE W810 that I had remembered someone saying the got so I tried that spent £40 quid on a Wii game (even though I dont a have a Wii yet lol) and went for it. I also went for the Pebl and put that through first.

Unlucky for me I just happened to get a really stressed out yet attentive staff member who was determined to get the Pebl discount to come up lol. It failed but I decided Id come back another day to refute it. Moving onto the SE W810, this went through at £149.97 which I think was correct, bummer, this will have to be returned then, im sure the sign said £149.97...

I keep reading comments similar to this but can't get my head around it. Surely every r&r involves a staff member 'making a mistake', whether it's Bob on the shop floor leaving old SELs up or Tarquin in marketing blundering with the advertising promotions. How can they justify an overprice didn't take place with this argument?
