forever_skint wrote:Got my first R&R tonight on fairy liquid! (well it's a start!) But they said there was no customer service tonight and I would have to come back tomorrow for my refund!!!!!!! Tried for a pink Technika DVD player labelled up at £15.97 offer expiring 3/12/2006 but it was still £15.97 at the till
Being new to this - has anyone tried going to a 24 hour store shortly after midnight and picking up offers expiring from the day before? i.e a lot of the booze offers expire on 5/12/2006 so if I went in at 1 am on 6/12/2006 and the SEL was still there would they still R&R me?
Has anyone found out about the x-box deal yet?
Thanks in advance
Ive gone in after midnight when offers were ending on mobile phones, think about 1am, got a couple, messed up and got refunds then realised I actually should have r&r them, gone back and bought them again saying they were the correct phones and had had mixed messages, then r & r'd them, complicated but worked at that time. What goes around comes around0 -
firework "dont go off" on one hehehe.
The policy states
"And if things don't add up ~ In the unlikely event you are charged a higher price than on the shelf or the product we will refund your money and you can keep the product"
It doesnt say TV or magazines, we get the leaflet ones on a technicality as the leaflets are on the shelves. most of the magazines have a check stores for details or prices correct at time of going to print as a get out clause. so you could try it but wait for them to say no.plastic_screw wrote:looks like the post deleting is happening again. its ONLY banter!!!!

how do you scan items before you get to the till to know the price?0
-
yep 360's are back in promotion
so could be 3 reasons
1.i think they have spent all weekend scanning loads of games making sure they all work and wont be overcharged with different combinations
2.losing to people with the likes of argos putting on promotions
3.take the risk and lose out0 -
firework wrote:still wondering about these...does anyone know if they come under the same "rule" as sels, pack prices and posters? can you refer to in store mag as advertised price. i have scoured the mag but have not been able to find any disclaimer. any advice anyone?
maybe it's just not worth the probably extensive arguement with cs!
Not sure but probably not; although the other day I did notice a blue label beside some Lynx showergel - it was basically saying that the price of the Lynx as detailed in the Tesco magazine was incorrect and you should refer to the SEL for the correct price.0 -
thanks to all who replied.......When things in life start to weigh heavy on your shoulders, and people all around are having a go, just smile and think.......Fxxk em!0

You don't, if you can avoid it, scanning will draw attention to you and it's not necessary if R&Ring most things, for instance:
Multibuys won't show up on the instore scanners
Discounts (like on the wine or clothing) won't show up on the scanner
Meat or fish with a higher price per kilo on the pack will scan at pack price, so why scan? All you need is a lower SEL and you're in.
Same goes for DVDs and books with stickers lower than SEL, as these (usually) scan at SEL price. Just keep an eye on the price at the till and change your mind then and there if it is the 'odd one' that scans lower.
Finally if you've seen an R&R on here recently confirmed by several people (e.g. the Futurama, Simpsons, Sex & City, and certain 3-title DVDs) then you wouldn't need to scan if you find the lower price displayed in a store near you, soon. Act quickly though as most things are put right eventually....
