Anyone have a idea on a company that will cover my elderly parents with pre med ?
Both over 75,mum has asthma and dad has high blood pressure.
Only need basic cover to go to Spain 3-4 times a years for 2-3 week periods.
Minimum luggage and delay required as they fly budget airlines hand luggage every time.
They hold EHIC cards but just need that reassurance of more medical insurance ?
Thanks in advance .

Medical insurance is NOT a top-up to the EHIC card. The card covers emergency treatment only and will not cover on going treatment/repatriation.
Insurance is a MUST.0 -
Hi,
I looked at Flexicover as result of previous post but got quote of around £40 for single trip cover for myself and husband for one week. Ok they cover high blood pressure but not raised cholesterol. when you add this the price goes up, why should this controlled condition cost more? My cholesterol is no longer raised because I take medication and follow a diet so why should I be penalised? It's just a scam by the insurers to get more money. In my opinion if these conditions are being controlled why on earth should we be paying so much more. Wish I'd never had my cholesterol tested!!!0
