I just applied and said we would be intouch for the initial, is that a decline? I have one default sept 05, july 05, june 05
Twenty minutes later Strange just had a call from their fraud department, to ensure I was applying?
Said I would get a letter in the post, any ideas?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Could go either way, its a B/C credit builder card so can't see it being that hard to get.
Depends wether or not they check back the full 6 years and see those defaults.

Its the hardest card to get if you have a shocking credit report yes I agree, but if your credit report is ok this card would be pretty easy to get especially if you bank with barclays..

Not necessarily with a shocking credit report - I have no adverse credit whatsoever just not very much and they've declined me and I have a good salary, homeowner etc, - for a 'credit building' card its the most difficult is what I meant

Not a bad card to get from what I've read on here, a reputable name and regular limit increases.

Good luck and hope you get it.

I said its an easy card to get with an OK credit rating, but if you have a trashed report then it would be a hard card to get.
Same with a mainstream card if you have a spot on credit report you will find basically every card a bit of pi*s to get, you will find the people who normally get turned down for the initial card are those who hold a Vanquis card & Cap1 classic and then try the initial.
The card is alright if your trying to build a credit rating, but apart from that nothing!!
