Managed to :
Hoover/ brush all downstairs floors including moving all the living room furniture and mopped the floors.
General tidy around too and kitchen s/s.
Got out in the garden and cut off some of the honeysuckle which doesn't flower much, but which was trying to climb up everything else!
Watered strawbs and rasps, and baby lettuces.
Planted beetroot and radish seeds and tidied up garden a bit.
Will go and cook some tea and wake her.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

managed to wash down the walls in the porch ,then the phone went and it was my friend whom I hadn't spoken to for ages so half an hour later I was back in the porch, then my neighbour stopped to chat as her Mum is poorly, so another half an hour disappeared, then my DD and children popped in for an hour .By lunchtime I decided that tomorrow will be painting day as I just had too many interuptions, and the kids will be back at school and hopefully I will be able to get on better, so had a nice ham salad for lunch and then decided to make a chocolate blancmange and a ground rice pudding to use up some milk that I had as I seem to have a bit of an overflow of the stuff and I don't like to waste it so puddings are all sorted for the week.I have got some sausages and new potato's for dinner with mushrooms and green peas and rice pud to follow.
Tonight I shall be feet up watching some t.v. and doing some knitting.Life gets back to normal for a few weeks tomorrow .Too many Bank Holidays this month I think, there's another one at the end of May.Hope everyone has had a good day, washing is dried, I may iron it whilst watching the box as there is only a small amount in the basket.
have a good evening everyone

Hi all, hope you've all enjoyed your BH.We went for a walk along a rural canal ,beautiful blue skies but a ferocious wind.Got talking to a couple on one of the narrow boats moored up,DH would love one really( or rather he likes the idea of one-don't know in reality)It was very peaceful. There was a nice waterside pub,but it was too breezy to sit out,so in true OS style we called at our friends on the way home and they gave us a drink. She would have fed us too,but tea was prepared at home-lamb in gravy from the freezer, jerseys done in the pressure cooker with the veg, took about 5 mins.
I made a raspberry & orange tiramisu yesterday,so we had that to follow.Going to watch some tv now.Tomorrow have to call into town so my hairdresser can check my hair-having it coloured,so he wants to look before he does it on Thursday to make sure he has the right stuff in.Will call on the market and get some more ribbons to make more taggie baby blankets for Sis IL.
Camelot-hope you hear from DS1 soon ((hugs))

Went off to Dad's and we all trooped down the pub, Sat outside, out of the wind and in the sun. The brood and their cousin had fun running round the garden along with some friends children who were there also, while the adults just sat and relaxed and chewed the fat. Then we all trooped back to Dad's for food. Had a great afternoon putting the world to rights.
Lou, I am so glad you have had a better day.

Oh! sweetie, I am so sorry. You both must be under so much stress at the moment. Take each day as it comes and look at the positives. You went to the BBQ, which is a big thing for you, your house is coming together nicely, which is another big thing.
