DT - you are so nearly there - fantastic! Well done. :T:T:T:T:T
Working on the mortgage is a great plan - you are right - it is a debt - and we are better off without. I don't that is controversial here - just think that adding in the mortgage before the unsecured debts are dealt with would make the debt figure so high as to be way too scary! But it is the obvious target once the cards and loans are out the way.

That photo of the cake is fantastic, and if that's not one of your best...
Sorry to hear that as usual, half term brings with it sick children.
Yes the WI etc. do pay for visiting speakers, its not a lot and depends on how many members there are, how active etc. My brothers OH is the same age as me and has been a member for 15 years! But she does live in a small village where its probably all there is. They have all sorts of interesting people come to talk to them and have a budget for it.

DT - your plans are very exciting, i'm so pleased for you. I think your thinking is quite sensible re the mortgage.
Boo to lady complaints, i hope you're starting to feel a little perkierYour cake did make me smile, as Thomas looks a little angry! Was that a self reflection?
It is still fab though, I would love to have some cake making skills.
Will look forward to your updates. post cheque clearance. Have a good weekendxxx

Individually the complaints are not serious but altogether are making things difficult OH has announced I am high maintenance at the moment as he keeps supplying necessary medication
Thomas was even angrier looking on the first attempt at his face - it really is quite tricky to get him looking smiley
Cheque is deposited just got to wait now patience is not one of my virtues
Hope you have a good weekend too we had a fab trip to the cinema and pizza h*t and at no cost to me so that was even betteralthough both mine and a friends child wanted to know what I meant by going to the pictures showing my age
although someone who has known me about 12 months gave me a boost today by saying she was a lot older than me when I queried this it turned out as I suspected that we were the same age

Isn't it funny what we call going to a film? I never called the cinema a "picture house", which was certainly around, but we certainly said "pictures". Trouble is, we also said "movies" - my dad had a stint in Canada looking for work, and picked it up there. Very confusing!
Hope this weekend is nice too, DT. And so what if you're high maintenance - you're worth it!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
We always said going to the pictures! We must be all "of an age"!0
