    I'm mortified! I completely forgot to wish Triker a happy birthday yesterday. Profound apologies, and belated birthday greetings.:o

    We've been playing Washing Hokey Cokey today - it's currently Out in the sunshine.:D

    Ted has helped us to make a Shepherd Spy for tonight's and tomorrow's dins - he ate the tops and tails we cut off the carrots.:rotfl: He also very obligingly hoovered the bits of grated Parmesan that fell on the floor.:rotfl:

    My Toots list now has 78 items on it, 24 of which have been done. Unfortunately, I can't post it, as it's on a spreadsheet, and doesn't copy to here properly.;) I'd hoped to make a bit of progress with sorting/trying on clothes, but it hasn't happened. Ah, well, there's always next weekend..... oh, actually no there isn't, Mr LW's got to take the car to have some new tyres fitted next Saturday.:whistle:
    If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Back from work to an empty house as kids are at a party with DH:j SO I've had a leaisurely shower and decluttered some leftover garlic bread seeing as I didn't get a lunch break I was ravenous:mad: GOing to peel some spuds to go with chops for tea now. DH has been shopping:eek: I wrote a fairly small and specific list but I have fully accepted that meal plans and budget are out of the window this week. THe fridge is bursting - lots of meat has been purchased and a packet of prawns! I never buy prawns - too unsustainable, too expensive, too risky food hygiene wise and usually not very tasty either. So I might make a thai green curry this week. Actually I'd better just check the dates on the stuff he's brought just to plan for this week as I doubt DH will have done...... I need to diary the online shop and meal planning as its just not getting done properly. How does everyone else plan their meal planning and online shopping??

    Oh well better get off the sofa and look like I've done something before the squids land back home - hopefully they will have stuffed themselves with party food and not need feeding.

    Triker, sorry, just seen it's your birthday today - hope you've had a FABULOUS day and enjoyed all those lovely cakes you've been sent!!!

    Flying wise, still not made beds (:o) but we have had a nice afternoon! I've almost finished a typing job and got another to do tonight - expecting a job in tomorrow that needs turning around really quickly so I can charge time and a half :j! My jobs for the rest of today are:

    * do dinner (salmon tagliatelli)
    * make beds!
    * get kids ready for bed
    * Church at 6
    * typing job
    * go through diary and do my list of jobs to be done this week (this always scares me!)
    * relax with DH

    Determined to have an early night as been far too late to bed lately so no wonder I'm always tired.

    Hi everyone. Thanks for all the welcomes. Wow this thread moves fast!!

    Well the house is reasonably tidy - just don't look too closely :rotfl: I did a surface clean with the intention of decluttering the rest of the junk. I feel not to bad about it.

    Looking forward to joining you all properly next week :)
  • Minion has been 'persuaded' :D to clean up her catering escapades - so she did the DW and the hand washing up. (don't you just hate it when people give you things that can't be bunged in there? Sooo inconsiderate! ;)) whilst I

    Did splats' tray as it smelled a little catty when I came downstairs and chased them away when they wanted to rechristen it - it's about eight foot away from the wide open back door, so they can flaming well go and $*$( at the back by the raspberry canes. Only for nighttime or rainy useage now - far more moneysaving.

    Planted out a scotch bonnet chilli plant, coriander and a bush tomato (have checked and the average temperature in that part of the veggie beds is about 10 degrees warmer than the air temp. Got moaned at by one of the cats as it cuts down his mooching areas to have plants in his way.

    Picked up the pegs Minion left scattered when she got the washing in last night and put a compost bag away that I had left out.

    Then came in and did WM x 1

    Wiped down countertops.

    Put binbags out.

    Swept floor of shower room and kitchen.

    Cleaned mirror, shelf, basin and unit of downstairs loo. Stuck bleach in loo.

    Squirted bleach in upstairs loo.

    Changed back door curtain for net, so it can be washed next - it smells a little of where visitors have been sent outside to smoke. Ugh.

    Put all my clean washing away

    Put linen away - except for clean base sheet for my bed (spilt a drink on it) and pillowcases, as I need to change those for tonight.

    Put towels in their rightful places

    Told minion she has to put her washing away.

    Repeated myself

    Repeated myself again

    Taken possession of the SKY viewing card

    Returned the viewing card

    Now shattered again (what on earth is wrong with me - I'm now running a temperature - and no, it isn't the change) and back upstairs in my clean haven with the windows open, the fan on and two out of three cats snoring beside me rather than out in the garden - why?

    My plan for the evening is to make sure DD has some proper food and have a shower. Anything more than that is a bonus. Well, going by the way I've been this week, a miracle.
