Tesco to end Tussauds Annual Pass
Comments

you need £20 in clubcard vouchers for one annual pass, i've also emailed tesco and am waiting for a reply, i also called them before and according to the person I spoke to many people have been calling and complaining about this. I think i'm going to give watchdog an email.. would suggest anyone saving up also does, with enough people and complaints maybe they'll rethink..ummm...0

fair enough if they're stopping it because it costs them too much but it's still unfair that they've put a deadline before the next mailing :-( i wonder how many people without internet don't know that there's the deadline and won't find out until they try to spend their may vouchers? tesco haven't sent anything out about this deadline.
in may i'll be getting vouchers to buy 3 annual passes, i got all of those points apart from about a pounds worth BEFORE i heard they were stopping the annual pass. i feel cheated *SULK*52% tight0 -
One suggestion that was made by the card customer services was if i knew anyone else with vouchers was to get them to change their address to my own and that way i could pool the vouchers together. Might help someone..?ummm...0

Have rang Tesco about this as I too have been saving up for the Annual Pass.
Luckily I currently have £84.50 in vouchers, enough for me, hubby and 2 kids. However I didn't really want it this year as the youngest is still a bit too short for all the best rides.
Tesco have to have issued all Tussuads stuff by 1st May as it is Tussauds that have pulled out and their hands are tied, however they do have a 6 month expiry and Tussauds have told me they will honour this, so I can apply for my annual passes in October, meaning I will have them for next summer as planned. Hope this helps anyone else out there.0 -
You can exchange nectar points for some of the Tussauds attractions - time to switch back to Sainsburys? buy your shopping on a barclaycard or Sainsburys visa and double your points!0
-
Nector points are pants - you have to spend a fortune to get enough for anything!
To get enough clubcard points is easier especially if you get a Tesco Credit Card.0 -
Yes - Nectar points are pants, but if you shop in Sainsburys anyway?!? - also buy a fair bit from Adams, Debenhams and BP is my local garage. Patience is a virtue - and I have over 42,000 nectar points! Never really let reward schemes dictate where I shop, but have all the
cards just in case.0 -
No I don't let the loyalty points dictate where I shop.... i just avoid Sainsbury's and Waitrose as I find the prices more expensive there.
Asda and Tesco are my preferred choices.0 -
i also find sainsburys far too expensive, they have different prices around the country and ours is very expensive so shopping there isn't worth it. i get nectar points for using my barclaycard but it pays better to use my marbles card as i get 0.5% cashback. ho hum .... i'd gone for deals and special offers especially to get the clubcard points for the annual passes, if the points don't translate into annual passes then the offers weren't worth it. mind you i sold my single alton towers ticket on ebay for £22 this week, i reckon i have enough points to get 7 more day passes in may, hopefully they will sell well lol! i'll stick to shopping in asda from now on then :-)
p.s. tesco haven't replied to my email, sent 6 days ago.52% tight0
