Tesco to end Tussauds Annual Pass

Hello,
Tesco are to stop doing the Tussauds annual pass.
"If you are saving your Clubcard Vouchers for the Tussauds Group Annual Pass you must have ordered your Annual Pass Tokens by 1st May 2005."
PANTS !!!!
This is the reason we started shopping @ Tesco's in the first place, about 3 years ago. We used to shop at Sainsbury's which is closer to our house anyway, but swapped to Tesco's just to earn the clubcard points to get the Annual Passes.
I have just e-mailed Clubcard deals with my views, not that it will make a difference.
Ah well, good whilst it lasted.

I dont think that statement definitely means they arent doing it any more or they would have said so surely?“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -
noooooooooooooo!
i deliberately took out life assurance to get the extra points. we have plans for tussauds annual passes this year but only have enough points to buy one pass from february's statement. the next statement will contain the rest of the points we need to buy the other passes (i was hoping they'd be added on in time for feb's statement but they weren't) but it won't come until the end of may and that will be too late to order the passes. we were so excited about it and have been planning it for ages, i'm really upset about this. gutted :-(52% tight0 -
No, sorry, they are definately stopping doing it through Tesco's. I telephoned them on 0808 100 0707 to confirm.
Jellyhead, I would phone them, or e-mail them and ask what to do.
The more support against it the better. It is stupid to stop something before the next mailing of vouchers anyway, for that very reason.0 -
thanks, i need to wait a couple of days for the extra points to be added and then i'll phone them, maybe if i complain enough they'll do me an early mailing ...52% tight0

damn! i was gonna do this too! my daughter is going to be so disappointed!
we should all complain, as that is the only chance we have of getting them to change their mind!
i have taken the liberty of posting their address below for anyone that wants it.

i know, my son is going to be really upset, we have been telling him for a couple of months that he's getting a present when the baby's born of annual passes for him and his dad, they're so expensive to buy at full price i really don't think i can do it :-(52% tight0

Is it Tesco that are stopping the deal, or are Tussauds Group refusing to allow it to continue?0

In the same boat, just £2 short too, very annoyed and even more so that Tesco anounced it after the feb voucher mailout. So there is no way those that didnt have enough points would be able to make up the numbers as the closing date is 1st May when the next voucher mailout is due. Time to complain!ummm...0

i've emailed them saying i think they've been very unfair, asking if there's any way i can get my annual passes. i asked could they deduct the points from my account and send me the pass vouchers (should be possible i'd think, they must be able to do manual account adjustments?) or would they accept my application after the closing date, or would they move the closing date. they haven't replied yet.
i don't want to risk sending in my vouchers after the closing date because if they refuse me the passes all they will do with my vouchers is add them back onto my account for the august mailing. i reckon my best way of making enough money to buy the 2 annual passes i need is to buy individual day passes at £7 each and sell them on ebay. i might just make enough this way to get one annual pass (instead of the 2 i was hoping for) but getting my vouchers put towards the august mailing is leaving it too late, we really need an answer from tesco on this. i'll let you know when/if i get a reply but i'm assuming our emails go to somebody who has no power or influence and all they can do is send a standard reply saying tough luck.52% tight0 -
How many points do you need for one pass?0
