Local chippy charging me 50p

I have been going to my local chippy for the last 3 years atleast once every two months. when I first went I got one portion of chips for a £1 and they gave me three scoops, I ended up wasting atleast half of them so when I went back I asked them if I could have one scoop because I couldn't eat them all. They still charged me £1 and I just paid and was happy with what I got.

I have just been to the chippy and the lady only charged me 50p and I was shocked, I asked her why have I been charged 50p when chips are £1. She said I have been a loyal customer and her and her husband has decided to charge me 50p from now as I have never had a full portion.

Is this usual or should I have asked them for a price reduction years ago? either way i'm happy :D

I would just be happy that they only charged you £0.50 for the chips, they have set a price and it is your choice to only have the one scoop.

They are doing yo a favour, accept it gracefully..................
Very kind of them if you ask me, dont moan, otherwise they'll be back to a £ before you can say 'wet haddock' (round the chops)

I'm not moaning as I know they have set prices and I have heard people ask them for half chips and they have refused. It's my choice to have one scoop as I can't eat there normal size portion. I know people complain about not being given enough.

Why tell her not to moan then? You clearly think she was otherwise you wouldn't say it :undecided

Seems like good service from the chippy, I always feel full up about half way through a portion.

Name the chippy and praise them for them common sense attitude.:T:T

I'm not sure if I am aloud to, but it is nice to have been told they are giving me something I never asked for. Perhaps that might be the reason why they have started to give it to me at that price.
