tesco online are doing weird stuff at mo - just went to check on La Gioiosa Pinot Grigio - was there one munite gone the next - same with a couple of other bits - I fear they may be running round like headless chickens now instore and amending online as much as poss~!

And I was quite pleased with myself yesterday for taking one of these back and getting a £9.99 cash refund from a used receipt and also for making sure I used last voucher before it expired.

They aren't going to change the website for one day. So they'll check out your receipt and send you a pre-paid gift card for the difference. Better actually, because you have less hassle when redeeming.

but if you can still find the stuff in store and purchase it then it will compare with Asda, this happened with a couple of items before that 'vanished'.

right, ok, i called customer services and am more confused than ever.

I said i saw an advert in the sun yesterday and wondered if dtd was back on as I thought i had read in the press that tesco had stopped it? She said yes it was an error and did i have a voucher code link?

I said um, i was planning on doing a big shop with tesco today and would they honour it ? She said no you need to have already had a voucher code link (?) or I can't help you.

So i said, i;m sorry let me get this straight, if i went shopping today at tesco then tesco would not honour me dtd? she said 'no!' end of convo.

but still not sure tesco can legally do this after the advert????

Yeah agreed - I can just visualise the PC's flashing in Tesco now and all the young SA's running round changing SEL's!!!

Best thing is probably to broach it buying things you do need like DW Tabs/Sun lotion at least in knowledge you will get at least the difference back via website even if they fob you offer with DTD...
