Neighbour dispute parking spot

We live in a row of 8 houses 2 of us have 2 parking spaces the rest have 1. We have 2 cars so use both of them. One parking space my husband uses and the other a neighbour uses because she said her landlady told her that was her one so I've always parked in her spot we have told her that it is the other way round but she wont have it.
We have never had a problem with this until another neighbour has a daughter who keeps parking in the spot I use. I have asked her not to but she says she doesn't see why we have 2 spots and i should get a grip its only a parking space. Thats ok but we just can't get parked sometimes.
So I know I probably sound a right wally. But what should I do. We have the house deeds to say who's spots are who's but they wont have it. and the neighbours daughter is only a visitor she should park in the area that is free for that rather than expecting me to park there right?

You're not a wally at all. If someone is using your parking space you have every right to be annoyed.

I hope someone can tell you how to go about resolving this.

if the spot is in the deeds then its yours.. phone police everytime she parks there.. if police respond before she moves then the police will tow away..

or jack up the back axle and move the car that way..

Personally I would install those parking bollards that you can lock upright - so no one can park there while you are out. Do that on the two spaces that are actually yours.

    Problem solved :)

You won't make many friends doing it - but I think its the only option likely to give you less hastle in the long run.

One of the other neighbours has done this they did it years ago. I think I will get the deeds out tell them who's spot is who's and that I'm putting the bollards there.

Make a good enlargement of the parking details from your deeds showing clearly who should park where and post through the respective letter boxes with a polite note requesting they do not use your parking spaces (as marked). At other times if they park in your space you can keep moving your car back into your slot whenever they vacate it. They may get the message.

we have a similar situation where I live.

Its more of a car park than on the road. So if some one parks in my space I just park behind them so they can not get out.
They soon learn not to park there again.

The car park is wide enough to allow double parking without blocking off access for other people.

All the people where I live know the rules.
We have one space each and two visitor spaces for about 20 properties.

If it is allocated parking that is clearly shown on your deeds that you OWN those spaces, then I would first write a formal polite letter to the neighbours requesting that they do not park in said spaces and enclose a copy of your deeds so they can SEE for themselves your evidence to back up your letter, I would end the letter with words to the effect of: I hope that we can resolve this amicably between us without the need for solicitor intervention.

If that failed then you would have to seek further legal assistance.

*One last point, ask to see a copy of their deeds in case an error is shown on either document.

First of all you were being kind letting one of your neighbours park there car in your spot now its causing you a headache. Reclaim your spot and let your neighbour deal with the problem.
