When I first ventured into this thread, I found my own little piece of heaven, like minded souls who all found getting a legit "one over" on the top supermarkets and especially Tesco (it seems, bless em) either by exploiting glitches (legally, of course) and/or coupon/offer combining but I did feel a little under scrutiny over how "thankful" I was and a little paranoia set in so I too, in the desperate hope of not upsetting anyone started to thank each and every post (unless it was down right rude or abusive) and yes I also found it a useful marker. Ive often also been amazed at how many thanks my mere number of posts have accrued. Im an active member on PTS (different user name) but since the decline of coupon use (black Friday) the coupony threads have almost diminished which is sad; hence why I find this thread so great. It keeps my couponing spirit well and truly alive. PTS has been invaluable source of information and emotional support to me for other areas of my life, for which on here I am not yet known (I think
); This thread is buzzing with coupon related info and its great to read other occasional glitches/freebie info slipping into the mix. We've all got one goal in mind, haven't we?
On PTS, its a bit more long winded to say thanks - you actually have to write something in appreciation and I know a lot of people on there would appreciate a "thanks" button instead.
I guess its a tricky task to ask of any forum to get it completely right and its impossible to please everyone.
From now on, especially as the thread is bursting with vitality right now, and it can take ages to catch up, I will write down the last post number I read before logging off as my marker and just thank appropriately but I hasten to add that that is in no way a rejection of the chit-chat and banter. I, for one love it!
I would hope for any newbie, it would be only good manners to say thanks especially for Idlesaver and any other great contribution which helps us all on our money saving journey and has made a difference to our purse or the way we shop.
Its good to clear the air though, we have had a "family conference". I too hope that CW pops back in, - we miss you.
Wombled a nice juicy £6.52 apg yesterday - makes my purse strings smile!Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

Morning all.....I. Got a till spit fuel moc from a Tesco Extra, filled up my car a week later at a small Tesco nearby and it was refused!!!! I had not looked at the till spit and assumed they were generic, but not so, this one was only to be used at the Extra store. I got it at....I was livid, rang CS and there was nothing they could/would do.....they pointed out this store was having the fuel promo at that time but it wasn't a nationwide one ...how was I suppose to have known that....I said the SA should have told me when she gave me the bloomng thing, pointed out that I would have to fill up at this same store...CS agreed and said they would get someone to call me back....never happened....couldn't be bothered to persue the matter ..I'm just very careful now to check my fuel till spits
Yes, the Tesco 5p off a litre promotion only applies to petrol purchased from Tesco filling stations and doesn't apply to Esso (?) filling stations that may be attached to some Tesco Express stores. They won't even give you clubcard points on petrol/diesel purchased from Express.0 -
i was in asda and a couple were looking at dishwasher tablets, so i gave them one of my quantumatic coupons and explained how she used it, and gave her this site address incase she wanted to learn more, she couldnt thank me enough and asked me several times if i was sure that i didnt need it!
:rotfl::rotfl: done my good dead for the day! lol
Morning all
What a lovely thing to do.
In the past when M&S used to do the £5 off £20 spend coupons on a leaflet and you used to get 4 for consecutive weeks, I used to pick up a handful and only use 1 for each week, but would pass the others onto people who looked as though they were spending the required amount. They were quite often shocked but very pleased as they had never seen the coupons (staff in my local store used to keep them hidden under the till)
At the time I didn't know that I could have probably used these in Mr T but I have learned a lot from this forum. Just wish M&S would have some coupons now.:rotfl:0 -

I've done that in M&S as well - the person I gave it to couldn't quite believe too!
I was on holiday in St Ives last year and wanted cheese but only one pack as we were away. The cheese I wanted was BOGOF, so I approached an elderly gentleman and asked if he would like the other packet after I bought it. He was really pleased and waited for me outside the Co-op for his free cheese.¿Alguien ha visto a mi nave espacial?

Morning peeps
Bloomin windy here today, hope my washing stays on the line
GRR at the petrol thingy - a pal at work gave me a petrol voucher a while ago for 5p off per litre at Morries, luckily i read it and found that it was store specific and it was at the other side of town so i passed it onto someone else who lived nearby.
It seems that quite a few sm`s are doing area specific promos and pricings tooshame as it makes things more complicated and theres nothing worse than travelling for an offer only to find that its not on in that area.
I`m keeping away from the shops today - it was bad enough yesterday but today it will be rammed. Sunday always seems the busiest shopping day in our area and even later on yesterday there were huge queues just to get off the main road into the parking area
I shall try and abstain until Tuesday and hopefully then i shall have some more coupons
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

....... and to add, when i lived in ga/usa i was into coupon big time, and it was a tradition; that if you had a coupon you wouldnt use, and you was in your local store, we used to leave the coupon by the product so we could pass on some 'coupon fairy' savings to other people! always made me feel better after all the fab freebies i always got..... so i was in asda and a couple were looking at dishwasher tablets, so i gave them one of my quantumatic coupons and explained how she used it, and gave her this site address incase she wanted to learn more, she couldnt thank me enough and asked me several times if i was sure that i didnt need it!

MPG, you don't have to write down the post no. VC/ M4rtin, will explain better than me - if they are around - I don't know whether you know or not : - you can bookmarks (the icon is on the very top of your screen - click bookmark this page) the last page you read before you log off. The next time you log in - it will direct the thread to the previous page where you last log off.
I did this everytime before I log off - I cleared my previous bookmark then click the new "bookmark this page" icon again. But I don't always log on, so when I am off line, I save the last page where I last read to "bookmark this page" without loggin in. Hope you know what I mean.Turner Road Reserve Merlot 75Cl
