    Good afternoon everybody!
Hi Blue, just seen your post above and I am going to GFS with my family, I wanted to know if you have any good tips about what to do to get maximum vouchers, and just generally what to do. I was wondering if we need a packed lunch, or dinner in the evening, as I know you get to test samples etc, but do you get lots of food to test??
    Thanks.

The biggest tip is to take a trolley on wheels so you can fill it full of the books you get when you go in which are full of coupons. There are at least 2 entrances they stand at giving them out and we usually go through each one loadsa times and ask for a few books if they only give one or two. Then near the end of the day go back and hopefully they will let you do what they did with us in Nov and help yourself to as many as you can carry (283:D). There is also lots of coupons on stands especially Wall's Carte D'Or Ice cream stand where there is lots of ice cream and sweet stuff to eat. Other stands have cheese and things to eat plus wine, whisky etc to drink but only little samples, but you can get as many as you want.
The Olive and Good food magazines have a stand giving a great free gift if you sign up, so do that and then just cancel the dd when you get home;). I have done this twice now and have had no problem cancelling.
You will probably get enough samples to last you for lunch but def not enough to fill you up for the day. I would take drinks with you water/cans etc as they are expensive to buy and there are no free samples.
There is a weatherspoons pub next door to the exhibition where you can get the usual meals/food there and the drinks etc are similiar to normal weathrspoons prices.

Any other questions just ask. What day are you going and have you got your tickets? Tickets are cheap if you buy them after 1pm (think, could be 12), either half price or less, Mad might remember as he bought one last year. If you have enough points you can get tickets with your Tesco clubcard points.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

the woman in the queue behind me, was in a hurry, I was still packing before we even started on my coupons and she was pushing me out of the way  I said excuse me, I haven't finished, do you mind? I pushed her gently back and handed over the coupons
:rotfl::rotfl:Good for you. Sounds like a right troll face

I see what you mean M4rtin. It found my address, but I have already played today, despite not playing for at least a month
Same here! What a surprise ey! Velvet have c*cked up again!!!
Could I ask about the Fantastic Savings thingy? I have a variety of receipts collectively totalling over £30 for the different brand items.

Can I lump them all together in 3 applications in one go, or do I need to do each separately?

If it has to be separately I can only do 2x applications because 1 receipt has about £13 of qualifying spends on :o Can I write 2 application numbers on 1 receipt? I was thinking of colour code highlighting each £10 spend?

I emailed them with this question yesterday and you can send 3 applications in 1 envelope. Just make sure you complete 3 separate applications and put all 3 of the application numbers on the receipts ;)

sorry,my post was not aimed at any one person and wasn't intended to upset anyone or spark an arguement
not looking to chase people away and i always help/answer questions regardless of how many times they are asked.
so have edited my original post
    afternoon all

edited as it has caused unintended upset to some posters, so sorry if it has

didn't intend for this to spark an argument

please can we all play nice again :)

As you have posted similar to this several times it obviously annoys you( and going about the amount of thanks these posts get then you are not alone in this). However, it would be a shame to chase away people from posting because they don't know what the rules and regulations of this thread are.
I find this thread on the whole really friendly and, frankly if there is some CHAT about rtd or 1p deals then so what? If it was taking over the thread then I could perhaps appreciate the concern.
Sorry to be so irate but I do feel that I am one that this is aimed at. If I'm shopping with vouchers and happen to buy 1p things and also do a meal deal buy, am I am not allowed to tallk about it? Part of posting that is to hopefully help those who have helped me save so much. The vast amount of posts are about vouchers.
If you don't want to sift through the thread then why does its title include chat? Its what keeps people coming here. And surely the more who come, as well as it taking longer to sift through the thread, there is more chance of vouchers being found?
However, I do appreciate that I have my view and others have theirs and mine are not necessarily what the majority agree with. I thought long and hard about posting this but perhaps its time to clear up what is and is not allowed on this thread
Suggestions to make IS's life a bit easier-
    1. The person who really should not have to sift through chat and other gossip is idlesaver. So idlesaver- would it make life easier for you if we pm you with new coupon finds?
    2. For those who hate all the talk not coupon related- ( and forgive me for mentioning another campaign:rotfl:)- the dtd had a thread solely to post finds. No chat.
Frankly I didn't really bother much with the finds thread but others loved it.It might be the way forward to keeping more folks happy- and of course IS wouldn't need pm alerts as life would be a lot easier for her.

I thought maybe you would have booked your hols on the Birmingham canal http://www.waterscape.com/canals-and-rivers/birmingham-canal-main-line and then we could have all come to your boat for a fish supper;)
November GFS is probably better anyway bully as I am only going on Sunday as I am on hols in Blackpool until Sat night. But then I think I will have a better chance of beating my total going on the last day;) We will have to organise better before the Nov GFS so more of us meet up on a certain day.

I would love to meet up at the November Show if I would be welcome? Can't do June as on hols then but can certainly plan ahead for the November one.

Of course your welcome, the more the merrier:beer:I haven't been to the Summer one before, normally it is just the Nov one we go to. We will get a list running a month or two before of the days people are going and see if we can all tie up for the same day, which is what we did last year. If Bully pulls out in Nov she will get slapped with a river full of wet fish:p

Have actually booked the hol starting at Alvechurch just south of Birmingham, not sure whether we will head towards Stratford on Avon or Birmingham, depends on the weather...if very warm and sunny will try and do the B'ham ring route as this means cruising 7 hours each day, so def do not want rain for that, but if chance of rain then a more leisurely route towards Stratford and no locks until Lapworth Flight....was going to Wales but changed my mind after chatting with lovely peeps at UK Boat hire who recommended this, as the boats are much nicer and have got carpets in the salon and bedrooms and lots of other extras...:D
Would be so good if you all came for fish and chips though....
