That's horrible Rosemary. I agree the tutors are at fault for not noticing sooner and getting your DS to add the quotation marks in. Fingers crossed the committee listen to sense x
on a different note my laptop is still at the computer docs, very worrying ,they have done all the same checks as Dh and not found the fault,we are afraid it could be an intermitent electrical one and so almost impossible to find,am missing all the chat here as am very limited when I can use DHs laptop.
on a beauty note just had an email from BS saying they have missed me!!!!what about the recent 2 orders???? they gave me a cod efor 30% off next shop (not that anyone would want it:rotfl:)
WELCOMEBACK.....( this is the code)0 -
That is quite shocking Rosemary - It kinda makes me wonder are the tutors reading any of the assignments?
I read his dissy and was shocked at his use of conjunctives to start sentences, when I pointed it out he said his tutors all did it:eek::eek::eek::eek:Dh and I cannot get over what they are doing at this late stage when he has finished alll his work, seems if it was 1 essay then all they would do is makr it donw but Ds pointed out he had always done the same so they are looking at some other esseys that they had not noticed his mistake in:eek:so he will have to go to committeee stage. To add insult to injury he had an email about his graduation and they are charging guest £13.50 each to cover costs this year(never had this with DS1and 2!)DH thinks nmaybe they have been checked by some outside source about their low standards and are taking it out on him.hope to find out more from student rep on tuesday.
going out to a riverside pub for DHs birthday meal tonight pity the weather has changed, need thermals to sit out side:rotfl:

I use the bareminerals primer and it is good and the smashbox one is also good but I bought them in a kit from QVC - probably get them on ebay or beauty sites though
Hi bev, have you ever tried Laura Geller Spackle? I'm using the Smashbox one at the moment. Am on my second bottle of it. The pump on my first bottle stopped working part way up and I know this was a problem that Smashbox said they had addressed. My second bottle seems to be going the same way (I bought it inflight on the way to Egypt in October so there's no way of knowing whether it is an older version or not). I'm considering trying the Spackle at some stage and just wondered if you had tried it.
Guy Meets Galvaston is lovely but I prefer Houston we have a Purple from the recent TSV. Even Like YDKJ.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

That's really awful. Your poor DS. It's definitely the fault of the tutors though, they must have noticed unless they've not actually read any of his work. I'm really angry on yours and your DS's behalf!:j0

Oh no Rosemary!!
We have had similar issues at my uni, if you submit just a paper copy nothing is said, its only when you have to submit an electronic copy that they start questionning. It runs the assignment through the internet looking for direct quotes, and gives back a figure of how much % is "plagiarised", if it's above a certain amount, they start investigating, one of my friends knows someone whose assignment was 100%!!
But it's ridiculous that no-one has said anything before, yet now they're complaining!!
I'm not in a good mood today however, it seems pretty trivial in comparison =s_pale_
I was just jumping out of the shower, drying and getting dressed etc, and I've just noticed the beginning of stretch marks accross my stomach!!! I'm not exactly small, and have silvery stretch marks pretty much everywhere else (they used to be purple but I lost abit of weight), but I've never had them on my stomach  And now I'm stressing as my dissertation is due next week (do I dont have time to eat properly, hence the weight gain) and I dont have time to go to the gym as often as I'd like =[ This is a big thing for me as my self-confidence about my weight has been in negative figures for pretty much my entire life, and it doesnt appear to shed without starving myself ='[ :wall:
I'm so upset atm =[

As a tutor, albeit in further, not higher, education, I'm appalled at what your DS's tutors have done Rosemary. I've learned not to assume anything of my learners - recently I sent out an email reminding everyone that calculators were NOT allowed in tests and in another few months I'll send out another as new learners come through. Never assume!
:bdaycake: Have a lovely and very happy birthday Sofababe, hope that your hoped for pampering from your DD has materialised.:bdaycake:Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Afternoon cherubs!
UU 50ml Margaret Dabbs Intensive Hydrating Foot Lotion WIBA? I like this product, and I have bought this before so I'll probably buy it again at some point. It's a very good moisturiser for feet, elbows and knees etc because it is really moisturisng but it absorbs well too, but it's not enough for my heels. I need proper heel balm for those bad boys! I also have issues with the emu oil it contains. I just worry about whether birds are being mistreated and killed just so I can moisturise my feet. I am doing a low carb diet at the moment and eating meat so it's probably no worse than that.
UU Jemma Kidd Lipstick / balm duo in Rita WIBA? Probably not. I quite like the balm as I need all my lip products to be moisturisng, but the lipstick colour was not flattering on my textured lips at all. Nice colour though. Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
