Nottoobadyet - hope things have settled down again, it must be really unnerving having riots near you.

Thanks ashes, its much calmer today. As intimidating as it is, its also humbling to be in the presence of incredible courage among people who are willing to stand up in the face of such adversity.

Hi folks, well the vino helped me get a good nights sleep . My ex MiL has been in ICU for past fortnight. We get on well but my replacement hasn't wanted me to visit so my SiL and DD are keeping me filled in but want me to answer there questions as I am a nurse and work with very sick people. Its really hard . Should be stable over the bank holiday though but some dangerous surgery coming up. Just trying to keep things normal for DD .

After last years events I have compassion fatigue :(

    So today :

    Good Brunch at home
Defrosted food to take to work
Need to ring man from freegle and see if windbreak is available for me to collect on way to work.
Keep an eye on ebay - one item has some good bids which is pleasing.
7.5 hours work at enhanced rates - hope it is quiet as I have things I need to do.
    Keep focused:o

Anyone on here collecting cravendale codes ?

They wouldn't mind it, both of them love water and watch me wash up and have also tried to get in the washing up bowl as well :rotfl:
What sort of cats are they?

    Plans:
    1. [STRIKE]Check online banking & update spreadsheet[/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Sort out the document box and file everything away[/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]Shread old financial stuff and reciepts I don't need anymore[/STRIKE]
    4. Cook Sunday roast - pork, peas, gravy and chips (as I forgot to buy spuds for roast potatoes). Remembered to take pork out of freezer - it was a huge joint and I've learnt to cut it up and freeze rather than cook it all and waste.
    5. Possibly off to see the bikers on the seafront but it's currently raining
    6. Play with cat, get OH to get up (both currently snoring in bed)
    7. Online learning before my membership needs renewing and I've wasted 12 months subscription
    8. [STRIKE]Tidy up a bit [/STRIKE]and maybe get ironing done
    9. Ring Mum as it's free weekend calls
    10. Home manicure and pedicure
Already sorted through a box where I keep all my old reciepts in case anything breaks. I have now dubbed this box my 'box of shame' when I look at all the stuff I thought I needed and stupid spending on my credit card. I can see how I go in so much debt when I look at this box. It's not just essentials like fridge but fridge with xbox game on the reciept!! Toaster - nope I had to have the top of the range toaster. Most of the reciepts are for credit card payments! I was so stupid!:o

Main things I've done this weekend are:

    • Walking in the sunshine
    • Bought Stardrops!!! First time I've found it in shops in town! Is it sad that I was quite excited when I saw it?! Brought a smile to my face and inside I did a little 'woo hoo'! :o:p
    • Clean bathroom and kitchen with said Stardrops ;)
    • Get my ebay selling cap on at some point tonight ;) Thanks DNMS for the kick up the booty :) I can make £100 this month!!
    • Chicken in slow cooker
Gosh NTBY - glad you're safe!

    Hi everyone,
i`ve had a bit of a hectic weekend. Worked some extra hours yesterday morning and spent the afternoon sorting stuff out for car boot sale this morning.
Went to car boot this morning (up at 5.30am on a rare day off, must be mad!) but it was really hard work as people just seem to want everything for nothing these days, even had people quibbling over 10p items! I`d priced stuff cheap to get rid but brought loads back. Still made £30 aftter the pitch was paid which is better than nothing and has cleared some junk out. It`s £30 to go in my house move fund.
I`m shattered now and am chilling with a beer. Should do some housework and college work later but will see if I can be bothered as i`ve a split shift to do tomorrow.
Hope everyone with a day off tomorrow enjoys.

Egyptian mau's but they both have a bit more meat on them as they have both been done.
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Very cool cats. Mine is a bengal. Must be spotty cats that like water. My boy used to stand next to me in the shower but doesn't seem fussed by water anymore.

Have now managed to tick off 4 and 7 from the list. OH and or cat have mostly stopped in bed all day. We watched Tron but I didn't really get it. At least I avoided going out and spending.
