What to do when you know someone is committing benefit fraud?

Afternoon all,
I’m hoping you can help me make up my mind, If I should report 2 people I KNOW are committing benefit fraud.
I was told a few week‘s ago, That 2 people that are related to my partner are committing benefit fraud, And that they intend to claim social loans, Fortnightly benefits & are claiming housing allowance for a property they don’t live in.
Worst of all, One of the above’s mother is also in on the scam, Infact the person in question told me, That they are managing to claim just under £700 a month they are not entitled too!
Do I report them or not? I know its my right & I should stop them, But I’m also worried of causing aggravation for my OH family should it come out I have done it?
Any advice would be great

you shop them anonymously, or you ask a friend to do it for you
then you sit back and wait 3 or 4 months for them to get a visit...Debt free 4th April 2007.

What goes around, comes around, think of the consequences of them working out it was you. then make a decision. Also bear in mind, if they deny it and are taken to court the defence solicitor can have you summonsed on threat of imprisonment for refusing to attend, to a court to give your information in public court facing the defendants. Once a court becomes involved, the secret anonymous thing goes out of the window very quickly, 2 things then happen if they plead not guilty, they drop the case or you get dragged over the coals, either way the decision is out of your hands, people have been jailed themselves for refusing to face the people they accused in court when summonsed, all trying to do a good turn that went sour. so think first.
If you do not want to stand in court and face them, dont bother, mind your own business and live happyHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

you don't have to say who you are but if you did it this close to them telling you they might well guess it was you.0

Report them. You will not have to face them in court. The authorities have to have hard evidence (which they will gather) not just your word before they prosecute anyway. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

You could report it anonymously. Here is the link how to do that

I think you should stay well out of this .You should not sh*t on your on door step .I am sure lots of people are committing fraud which is not right but why only report these people ,have you got an axe to grind .If you report these i think you should also go out and about in the community with a camera and start busting all those people with bad backs out jogging and claiming IB .0
