Please report this guy - he's just ripped off someone who posted here for £150... I've reported these auctions but the more people the better!
Auction for a link only! There is one poor soul bidding on one of these for £100 as well but the ID is private. Please report these auction numbers to ebay as I have done so today and if more people report, they'll pull the plug on them...

As well as links, it's worth noting that you can report items that have Not followed by loads of items in the title (e.g. Nokia 1234 NOT 4345 3563 8756 3256) and items that are in the wrong catagories (like when people shove all the accessories in the actual items catagory).
Does anyone else agree that eBay should have a report this item button on each listing?Alex Jones0 -
Wirm/Soo, do you know what the gen is on selling ebooks? I seem so people say that they have sellers rights etc so I guess you can't just type up any old stephen king novel and flog it on ebay but just wondered if as a general rule they were considered permitted or prohibited?? (sorry spelling is dreadful at this time of nite!)

p.s. would it be a good idea to get this stickied??Official DFW Nerd 2100 -
hmmm seems a bit of a grey area one to me as a simple google search brings up most of the ebooks on ebay (foc) and yet how would one know if thats only due to them being circluated or if they really are public domain material??Official DFW Nerd 2100

It all comes down to the copyright that the original author put on the book. Many of the authors who sell ebooks on the subject og ebay via clickbank actually state that the book can't be sold on ebay, this is keep the value of their information, most of the stuff for sale is well out of date and reprocessed rubbish.
If you are selling ebooks then you need to clearly state this as a note to ebay staff, make it clear for buyers, and also state that your the copyright owner, or have permission from the copyright owner.0 -
I'd report it and leave it up to ebay to find out if it really breaks the rules.0

Not sure if this is the right place to post but here goes.
I bought a 128gb usb flash drive on ebay on Saturday I paid with PayPal.
Ebay mailed me on Sunday to tell me the listing has been removed this is the reason they gave
"While the vast majority of trade on our site is legitimate, we take many steps to protect our buyers from sellers who may offer items that are not authentic. One of them is to remove items reported to us as allegedly infringing through eBay's VeRO program."
they also said
"If you won the item and haven't paid for it yet, you should not complete the transaction. If you've already paid for the item, you may be able to recover your purchase price plus original shipping costs through the eBay resolution process:"
At the resolution page they tell you to contact the seller I cannot do this because when I click to contact seller it comes up as an invallid listing, yet when I choose the "I haven't recieved the item" option they say
"It's a little too early to open a case.
The item is probably on its way. Please allow enough time for the seller to process and dispatch your item. If you still haven't received the item by 16 May, 2010, please contact us. You can also try contacting the seller.
I have been intouch with my credit card supplier and they will send me a form to fill in but say I have to give it time to arrive.
I didn't pay that much for it £17.06 but it worries me if I had paid a lot for something to have to go through such hoops to get my money back when ebay have cancelled the listing themselves.
Sorry for the rant but surley they could make it easier.0 -
You would have been better off starting a new thread rather than dragging one up from 2005:eek:
Technically you can't open a case for 7 days. Find one of the sellers other listings and contact them through that. There is a chance your item is on its way. If you cant contact the seller phone paypal in the morn and see if you can get them to open a case earlier. If they wont, open one on day 7 and escalate to a full chargeback. When the seller can't prove delivery you will be refunded
Your CC company wont refund as you paid through paypal and not them directly but if it doesnt arrive Paypal will refund you0
