You could just make your own gift certifcates up. I dont think you can hand them the vouchers as it does say FREE!

They come as a sheet of paper with a scratch panel.. on that panel is a code, which you must text. You then get sent an E voucher code. You must then enter that code into the HMV site under "my e-wallet" when you're signed in (you must sign up for HMV first if you aren't already). You then can use it to pay for goods.

i got told that the're system was playing up and they didn't recognise my postcode and coming up with errors, yet when they asked for my postcode it came up fine, but there's a problem processing with my postcode

told me i had to email insights@o2.com with details of what's gone on and with my name & phone number and they'll call me, granted that was 2 hrs ago i sent it though! lol
