Just about to buy my first ever 'new' car (ordering tomorrow hopefully). Can echo the comments above.
Not that bothered about people having owned a car before me but the knowledge that for the next 3 years if anything goes wrong it will be sorted for free is great.
I intend to keep it for 5+ years so the 'residual value' argument is pointless.
Also, the model I want is very rare in the used market and the chances of finding one with the exact options I desire is zero.0 -
I have seen something similar when browsing the Toyota main dealers for a cheap new shape Prius for a mate, just a bit of research.
We concluded it was better to just buy new, i think he was going to use drive the deal or something similar.
I believe they are doing him a new Prius for less than a 5000mile 6 month old.demo.
Though my BIL bought an Audi A4 tdi 2 years ago that was ex demo, and he saved several thousand, though i think it was the same Dealer where he bought his last Audi A4 back in 2002 and also where he got his car serviced.
As an Electrical Engineer he makes enough money so that he no longer has to get out the tools, being from farming stock he did his fair share when.he was younger but wouldn't we all let somebody else do it if we had the ££££££££s0
