My mum just bought her first ever new car, but it was mainly because she dropped her mums ashes all over the floor when she went to scatter them.

when we were looking around for a car it worked out within a few hundred pounds cheaper to buy new than used, then as previously said warrranty, 1st full year tax paid, and no mots to pay for even if it passes

Our last 3 cars were new and started looking again now

Depending on how used you want of course - brand new cars are often cheaper than pre-reg or dealer demos due to discounting.

In response to OP, yes people do buy new cars, I am a sales adminisstrator for a car dealership, and I only process new car orders, which can be very busy at differnet times of the year

New car not what i would buy choice would always be Dealers Ex Demo Cars manufacturer requires dealer to have xx of model range available for test drive . That is usually as a company car for salesmen and other members of staff changed/sold usually every 3 or six months often at a significant discount to new . Problems are taken care of immediately one does not drive around in a car with a squeak that a customer want to test drive .
