I seriously, seriously doubt that they'll order you a new car. Glad they've finally given you a courtesy though
Why not? The car is faulty even before delivery therfore the dealer should reject it. However, if the damaged panel can be replaced without affecting the quality of the rest of the car then fair enough.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

Which is what the dealer is attempting to do.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
You would not accept a new phone or Ipad having paid full money for it with a cracked screen even if it could be repaired, so why should I accept a damaged repaired car?0

I have a new shape Smart Passion and my roof is glass not acrylic - what exactly have they said is faulty?
How about posting your query here for some informed advice from the owners' club:

However, if they will give you a new car, all well and good.
Not half! My son worked on rectification at the VW Plant in Emden, Germany (built Passats and shipped out other models from other plants). Cars got damaged in all kinds of ways - being driven off the line, falling off transporters etc. They're properly repaired to new standard and carry full warranty. No problem.0 -

Thanks Tiddlywinks. The roof has a front to back crack in it so it has to be cut out to get the whole roof off. The roofs are no longer made of glass due to the shattering issues apparently.
Will take a look at the forum, many thanks0 -
