Hi,
I am totally drawing a blank here and hope someone can help. I have read similiar questions here but not quite the same.
I have a dv camcorder it takes sd cards. It has a usb port(?) My pc does NOT have a firewire port. We went out and bought a dvd recorder that has a connection for firewire. We went out and bought a firewire cable and the small end fits in the dvd. The other end does not fit in the camera. Is there a connection/adaptor that will fit on the bigger end of the firewire and then into the camera (usb size) or have I just wasted about £200 altogether? I feel like crying and haven't got a clue what to do.
When we got the camera it had all the discs for editing and all that but it just does not work as I think the usb is too slow if that is possible.
Any help would be greatfully accepted thank you.

does the zennox just record to sd card (no tape), and cost about £50? If so, can't you connect it via usb to a PC and transfer the video to the PC?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -

I'm confused, are you saying your camera only has a USB port and that you are trying to connect firewire to USB?"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Ye the camera came with a usb cable so how do I get footage off the sd card and on to a dvd. The discs that came in the package with it keep coming up with 'firewire not found' but my pc doesn't have a firewire port anyway but how does a firewire connect to the camera as the discs suggest? You may walk and you may run

The manual says USB cable/port but NO video discs will accept it as it looks for firewire, thats why we bought the dvd recorder 2 days ago.You may walk and you may run
