    Flylady does the trick, for sure. You don't need to do everything and can just pick the bits that work for you, but she's real patient, re-assuring and totally understands the slob in all of us :)

    If a cleaner can give a one bedroom a thorough clean in a weekly two hour session - and they can - all a couple have to do is spend an hour each every week cleaning. Job done.

    I've just washed all the curtains and completely gutted/bleached/scrubbed my bathroom. A good day's work:D

    I did think about that but thought it would probably cost a bit.

    PMSL - see that's the natural slob in me coming out - ignore the talk of cleaning and focus on the word "cleaner" :rotfl:

    My version of tidying - random pile of crap but I know what every single thing is in that pile and whether I need it or not. The only things put away are paperwork,bank statements, hospital letters etc, but they go in ONE folder, the rest just hangs around and God forbid my filing system is messed up...grrr
