Making mayhem in May with the NSD challenge

Had NSD 1 yesterday. Woo! Only another 9 to go and aiming for one tomorrow. :rotfl:'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Well done, Wee Pilsbury - the next challenge is to STAY debtfree!
Cheers- debt free is exactly how I will be staying. My whole spending ethos has changed during my wee slog and I find now that I have some money that's actually mine, I don't have anything I want to spend it on :rotfl:.

Wee Pilsbury huge congratulations on being debt free, thats fantastic!!! :j:j
Declaring number 2 for yesterday & number 3 for today please Spoon :j
Tomorrow won't be as i need some compost to earth up my asparagus which has just started growing (i am soooo chuffed about that) i was going to leave it till my spendy day on Friday, but that would mean dragging it home in a suitcase, & tomorrow my friend has offered me a lift back from the compost shop, so figure i am going to sacrifice my NSD in favour of ease & convenience....
On the bright side, i re-did my budget yesterday & have £350 a month for overpayments or the necessary final jobs to be done on the house. Don't think i'll use it all for overpayments every month, as it would be nice to afford the final bits for the DIY (seeing as i have worked so hard to do all the work on the house myself), but it feels amazing not to be living up to the last penny of my wages every month & i have promised myself that anything i don't use is an overpayment, so DFD is looking about 2014, nowhere near as far away as i used to think it would be!! :TFebruary NSD challenge 5/150 -
Managed to wander round the shops yesterday (killing time between shifts) and resisted everything! :j So that was NSD #1.
And then today I was at work for most of it and by the time I was finished I was too tired to even think let alone shop, so today is NSD #2 :T
Tomorrow will be a spendy day though as I need to sort out bits for my holiday - hire car etc. But the hol is at the end of the month and almost within reach so that kind of spending I don't mind
Managed to get a tiny bit more done on $TP over last couple of days so would now be cost neutral on my holiday clothes, but I bought a hat a couple of days ago, so gotta keep going to cover that too! It wasn't expensive, but I've been too tired to do much in the way of clocking up the pennies onlineNot gonna worry about that though, it will be done soon as my holiday clothes budget has been tiny this year (I'm still the same size and shape as last year and (thanks to the brain reconditioning of this site) knew I already had most things I needed). And with today being a NSD, all is
!!!

It's a lovely beach there ...you can often see orcas in the bay. Dad and I went swimming at "our" beach every morning from May to October the year I was 17....and I grew up just south (9 miles) of John O'Groats...we even went swimming on Christmas Day ...now that was cold!!:eek:
Cycled round to Tongue too and wild camped at the beach at Coldbackie. No one there had the beach to ourselves. :j Then headed down to Lairg to catch the train back. Currently planning next years bike ride, I think we might be stepping it up a gear . . .
Wow..what a trip...you are certainly keen cyclists!!
Good luck with the job hunting too. I really need to step this up. Have a few time logistical nightmares which I didn't realise till last night, which means I really need to find a job by June! Maybe we should make a pact to give each other a kick up the bum
Could do, though technically I am not being made redundant until July...and I should still have my invigilating job after that...but I feel I have recovered enough from my 15 months of ill health (in 2009/10), to have a decent job again...though not sure if I could manage, never mind find one of them!!
I can always ask you how your job-huning is going every week or so if you want!
No NSD yesterday and I am not sure that today will be one either as I really need compost to plant my herbs.
Hope everyone has a good day.
xx
Well, managed to pick up NSD no 3 today. :j
I even came straight home from town today, despite having some spare time as the exams I was invigilating finished early. :A
Spoon - I used up a couple of bunches of whoopsied spring onions I got yesterday instead of ordinary onions for the burgers...they worked fine, and the burgers were scrumptious.
Tomorrow will be a spendy day...off out to lunch with DH, celebrating when we first became a couple...32 years ago :eek:
Will do a bit of browsing and shopping before and after lunch...that'll be nice! Dun£lm M!ll here I come!
Right, off to do a bit of X-stitch before bed...not done any for a day or two.
Well done on the car's MOT Jinty....I have a feeling we will be needing new tyres soon...all four of them...£££££££
Have a great Thursday everyone.

Monday should have been an NSD (B/H meaning no D/Debit), but there were some 'too good to miss' Whoopsies as I left work
First D/Debit of the month went out yesterday, so I 'allowed myself' to head back down to work after tea on another Whoopsie hunt 'cos I knew there were a couple of things heading for reductions I like at the 'right' price(And I got them, plus a couple of other bits too). I'd also stopped off in B'n'M on my way home, and picked up a few bits from there.
But today has been spend free, so I can declare NSD #2 at lastCheryl0 -
Hello All.,
After a long bored March and a terrible spendy April, I am getting back into the saddle.
Can I pledge 12 for May
Currently at number 2
Thank youMFW on your mark0 -
