Evening all! Well it's back to it's 'normal' busy self on here again. sorry I've been AWOL for the past few days - busy bumble bee :)

Rock_cakes - sounds like you have made the right decision in the long run about the job, I know exactly what you mean about the 30 thing and having life and the universe sorted in an orderly fashion, but I've come to the conclusion that what our parents don't tell us when we're growing up, is that we are never all grown up, we just keep growing. xx

Beanie and Jinty - sorry to hear you guys are in the wars, gentle hugs to you both :grouphug:

Great news you have the new car Nargle, happy motoring (for goodness sakes don't let Igor clean it though!)

JCA - Spoony is right, SOA aren't just for people with loads of debt, so don't feel silly posting one - everyone is in different circumstances x

BMF - great to see you back on here :j

Right, update from me....no more NSD to report (Spoony I can see you reaching for those kippers already :o) I thought I'd clocked one up yesterday until I remembered I bought some Fudge Salt Spray on Fleabay (had borrowed my friends previously and really liked it, bought the cheaper Fudge Urban one but it wasn't as good) so no NSD there.

Today I popped to Mr S as I had no laundry liquid left (so good excuse for doing no laundry for 4 days :rotfl:) I also ended up buying ingredients for thier sweet and sour chicken (though mine was made with Quorn so OH could have some). Substituted their normal sauce for basics and then just bought some extra carrot, pepper and pineapple to add in. Was very nice, fed me and OH with two more portions to freeze and some veg left over which I will freeze and add to pasta. The only thing is that as I was loading the dishwasher I dropped one of the pasta bowls we'd eaten from  so I need to replace that (only had 2 so now down to 1, and I really liked them as well, double :mad:) so my MSE dinner has turned out not to be so MSE after all :(

Still, at least it's friday and a long weekend.

ps Spoony - cadburys creme egg ice cream is YUMMY!

If nothing dramatic happens between now and going to bed (which looks unlikely as I think I'll be off fairly soon!) I have another No Spend Day! Woop! 4/8, so improving slowly!

Mr L is away, so just made myself a yummy sweet potato and red lentil curry, and relished in the fact it had no meat in it! Catching up on Two Greedy Italians on iplayer now, and quite sleepy so probably this will be it for the evening... I am such a raver.

Lotti - meant to ask - would you mind pm'ing me your curry recipie? sounds yum! (and OH can eat it as he is veggie) I'm always looking for new things with lentils as I must admit I rarely know what to do with them.

Lotti, would you mind sending it to me as well? I'm trying to cut down on meat and this sounds like a good recipe to try.

    Thanks x

Lotti - please post the recipe - sounds lovely! I like veggie curry better than meaty ones actually!

And, Kerri, thanks for the recommendation re the creme egg ice cream, a can see a tub of that featuring in my freezer soon!

    Good morning to all!th_happy_saturday_yellow_glitter_smiley_text.gif

I am aiming for another NSD today despite that fact I am going to Co$tco. I have informed OH that the spends are coming out of his wallet! Heh HEH! ;) They have a few good offers on this time and I have done my comparison homework and they are "genuinely" worth it.
Meant to say- we are approaching a milestone this week. On Tuesday OH becomes officially DEBT FREE! The last payment goes out to his DMP so we can increase what I pay to mine and bring my DF Day a bit nearer. Good news indeed!

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.
  • Hi everyone, sorry not been posting much this week ..

Have been keeping track though and am up to No 14 - hoping for a "usual Sunday NSD" tomorrow so that'll be my my target.

Glad Mean May (as it's been aptly named on another thread) is coming to a close and hoping June will be happier, sunnier and summer will start.

    Have a good day everyone.
