Hya folks, hope you have had a good Saturday.

I have managed to nab NSD no 18 today, so only 2 more away from my new target...here's hoping!!

Have done a fair bit in the garden and greenhouse today...and even managed some work on the Elegant Lady too! Spoon, I will post links to piccies once May is over...still don't think I will finish her by then though :(.

Hopefully DH and DS2 will get our "new" patio laid over the long weekend. Today had them laying out the slabs (rescued when next door replaced her patio...very MS! :money:) and working out the exact layout we wanted, then getting the area marked. Tomorrow will involve levelling the area and hopefully starting to get the slabs down...oooh, exciting!!

Off to catch up elsewhere on MSE before getting down to more sewing....quite a busy bee today! :)

    See you tomorrow sometime...night, night.

NSD #5 (or 4?) for me today please! Haven't left the house, spent the day vegging on the sofa and reading the next true blood book. Am very bored now though! I'm on call for work at 6am and dreading getting called, I need the money and to get out of the house, but I have only worked one week this month so it'll be hard! MrS sent me a photo of him and the other guys all kilted up, very smart they look... I'm a very lucky girl (soppy, I know sorry....yuck!) but do wish I could have gone with him! Really missing him :( Probably just missing him because I'm SO BORED!

Well done on more NSDs today! Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend :)

    Hi everyone,

Calling in to declare NSD 5 I should just about make target this month as long as I don't mess up this weekend! I nearly did but I put aside money yesterday (so I cheated a little)

Kerri, I only got out of my pj's at 3pm, so don't feel too bad.

lotti, hope you don't mind but I have clipped your curry recipe.

and Jinty, woo hoo and well done!

  • Hi MSE Lovelies
Me here. Big Spendy day today but still on course to nab my final NSD'S Courtesy of Calender 29 and 30th of May. All I have to do is NOT SPEND and et voila I meet Target. Feeling very out of it NSD wise, the Apps are SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOO tempting! and Maths App catapulted me into a too impulse led shop at my local Tesco where my need for exercise is leading me astray as I use Store to help me exercise!!! (lugging John Lewis highly recommended £30 Trolley certainly works the muscles!!). Plus I got myself a dress at £18 which alas was not reduced after this week having to throw out a brand new Tesco dress which I had to literally cut myself out of. Grrrh! Must look to Winter especially those in Scotland as my model for all Clothes and Winter Wear!!! Scotland aspirations are the test!! love and hugs to all. (((everyone))) xxx

Oh dear, I’m so sorry about your embarrassing incident at the petrol station, that’s one of my nightmare scenarios. Hope Lara is well and still keeping you company eek to the double shift I hope it wasn’t too painful. Thank you, appreciate the comment and I always watch Doctor Who on the iplayer, OH can’t stand it..

:j:jIf - for no 16, you’re doing brilliantly, only one more left to grab now, you can do it!! Good to see you back, we’ve missed you, hope you’ve managed to catch up again. Thanks for posting the reminder again:A, I keep forgetting

:j:jkatholicos - for no 15 and your target smashed, that’s brilliant!! :j:j Your prize is heading your way now, hope you like it!!! Thanks for the comments, they are very much appreciated by all of us. I’ll try to remember to add you for June but if I forget then it’s not intentional, just the memory is a bit full at the moment, the hard drive needs a defrag (or whatever it’s called:huh:..)

:j:jelfen - for no 17 and target no 2 smashed, that’s brilliant!! :j:jYour second prize is heading your way now, hope you like it!!! Increasing your target to 18 now, I’m sure you can get there!

:j:jbeanie - for no 22 and target no 3 smashed, that’s brilliant!! :j:jYour third prize is heading your way now, hope you like it!!! It’s very windy here as well, horrible

:j:jAlyBaly - for no 9 and your target smashed, that’s brilliant!! :j:j Your prize is heading your way now, hope you like it!!! Woohoo to the unexpected NSD today, they are definitely the best!! Well it may have been a struggle but you got there, well done for persisting, a true NSD-er

:j:jKeiss - for no 18, you’re well on the way to target no 2 now, yay!!!! Busy day again for you and some progress even being made on Elegant Lady, I may well see the finished picture.. Hope the new patio turns out well, it sounds good. How’s DS1 doing, hope he’s OK ?

:j:jpsychopathbabble - fingers crossed for today. Glad you enjoyed the birthday celebrations yesterday, it sounded fun (despite the tantrum) and well done for not overspending. Hope you had a nice rest today and definitely boo to work tomorrow
And no 5 for you today, only 2 more to get now. Oh dear, sorry you’re feeling a bit bored today and that you’re missing Mr S. He does sound lovely so I’m not surprised you’re missing him (((hugs))). Hope work isn’t too bad tomorrow.

:j:jGeorgieFTB - for no 5, only 3 more to get now, you can do it!! Putting money aside on a spendy day isn’t cheating as long as you don’t go over it or use it for something else. Lots of us do that here

    Hello to:

jinty - well done on the strategic spend planning today (ie getting OH to spend), like your style. What fantastic news about OH’s DFD, I’m so pleased for you both,:T:T hope yours follows very soon.:A

LittleMissHappy - good for you, damage limitation is definitely the way to go. There’s always a happy medium with these things and seeing all your friends and family while moderating your spending seems like a good path to take - well done!! :T 13 NSDs is great achievement anyway so that’s definitely something to be proud of.
Ahh.. thank you, that’s lovely and I really do appreciate the comments.:A Things like that make running this thread and the time it takes worthwhile:D

lotti379 - thanks for the recipe, it looks good.:A I think I will be trying that after my next supermarket trip - I need to get some lentils. Good luck with getting your remaining NSDs

kerri - it’s OK, you’re forgiven. Yes, you’re allowed to go out for a meal on your anniversary, hope you enjoyed it. Eeek, I hope you didn’t go up that ladder today, it was far too windy:eek:... Creme egg ice cream for breakfast... well I don’t see why not occasionally!!:D

Red - sorry about the spends today, hope they weren’t too serious, although as liquid gold was involved they probably were:(..

marmiterulesok - glad you had a good time at the market, all stocked up now so no excuses to spend. Fingers crossed for your last NSD tomorrow and target smashed:D

wouldbe... - fingers crossed you get to your target:)

I’ve managed to behave myself again today (well... not spend any money) so no 23 in the bag for me.:j

Off to update the front page now, so see you all tomorrow.

    ‘night everyone
    spoon xx

:) The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time :)
