Thanks grateful - what exact type of showerhead do you have, and what do you hate about it? Any advice as to what kind I should try next? The shower feels very strong to me, so I'm thinking it's probably suitable for an aerating head and I'd get quite a saving on water and gas. The building work has taken two steps forward and only one back, so I'm living in hope. Today we got the painting finished in DD's room and the spare room.

I will go and have a look!

GFH are you still in there looking - should we send help? :rotfl:
  • I'm a long-hauler too.
In fact, I was working out our pension projections today, and the mortgage doesn't finish until the first pension kicks in! (I have a little bit that I can claim from 60). Now that is depressing....
I do enjoy reading your thread, and thanks for following mine.

Hope the building work is going well?

OOh sorry! It's a MIRA eco and keeps coming unscrewed.

Lois you're gonna love this, the builder has smashed we thought 15%, but actually nearer 20% of our £15 a pop limestone floor tiles.

Having to go to Truro tomorrow to buy some more, of course they have been discontinued.

I'm back! Life got a bit overwhelming, but term is now over, so I'm picking up where I left off. Today I've been working on my master spreadsheet. The bit with accounts and things is now up to date. The spending diary is half way there, and the mortgage bit is sorted.

So here are the stats to date.

    6th September 2011 - Highest amount owing
    Mortgage ..........£75,143.13
    Family loan 1......£12,796.89
    Family loan 2...... £ 5,241.20
    Total owing........£93,181.21

    6th December 2011
    Mortgage ..........£74,554.35
    Family loan 1......£12,790.64
    Family loan 2...... £ 5,191.20
    Total owing........£92,536.18

Today I've managed to take another £93.75 off loan 2, so that's more progress. :)

The next challenge will be to stay on the MFW bandwagon even when things get hectic next term!
    Starting again 13/4/19
    Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99
    Total owed: £28,801.49

What happened about your tiles? Did you manage to get any to match?

Turns out my builder has bodged some things, so it'll be even longer (and more expensive than I thought) before it's all finished.
