It got off to a great start and then got forgotten about again. I tracked it down on page 11, and have bumped it so you can find it easily. It's here.

Thought I would pop in, as its been a while. I'm really struggling to find the time I want to read everyone's diaries.
I just wanted to reassure you WRT my challenge, I have had a few blips myself. (It's past 11 and I'm still up again for one, and I am coffee fuelled for another. but shhhh!) I keep picking myself up though and trying, and I am happier than I was a month ago with it all.
It must have been hard the past few weeks with all the building stuff, so just keep trying.
I like all your stats a lot. I've got my mortgage officially from April 2029, to December 1919, but my aim still is to pay it off in the next 2.5 years if I can with no real plan of how, just by working myself to death by the looks of it. :oAim for the stars and reach the moon and all that.0 -

Well, I wouldn't recommend the really personal stuff - "Mrs OM is suffering terribly from wind and the baby is pressing down on her bladder so she's going to the loo all the time" probably wouldn't be appreciated! But she'd be more likely to be happy for you to share the moneysaving side of things: "I picked up a second hand travel cot from a friend at work who only wanted £30 for it, and Mrs OM has just received a whole load of 6-12m size clothes from her sister." You can ask for advice, too: "Mrs OM has been given a list of things we will 'need' for the baby. It seems excessive to me. Here is the entire list. Somebody please tell me which of these things we really do need, and which we can manage without."
But as you say, the way to be sure what she's happy for you to say is just to ask her.cha97michelle wrote: »Thought I would pop in, as its been a while. I'm really struggling to find the time I want to read everyone's diaries.

Thanks for such an encouraging message. I'm not even going to think about the Christmas challenge until I've written all my half term reports (due end of this week), but I'll try to get back on the wagon after that.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

I'm to scared to think about charts and graphs as I will probably end up with loads and then spend even more time looking at them :rotfl:

Hi Lois, just wanted to pop on after your advice on my new thread. Will subscribe to this as you seem to be doing so well and have a really positive attitude!0

Hi everyone. Been a busy couple of weeks, but now it's half term I can think about moneysaving and my mortgage again.
The water-saving shower head I bought was useless. It had 3 spray patterns, none of which were quite what I wanted, and the selector ring for switching between them kept falling off. So I took it back to B&Q and got a refund because of the ring coming off. I might try again to get a different kind in a little while. I've worked out I don't like shower heads that give a circular spray pattern with a gap in the middle, so maybe I'll try one that only has one spray pattern next time.
Meanwhile I am behind with my spending diary, but I think I have all my receipts, so should be able to catch up now it's half term.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Thanks grateful - what exact type of showerhead do you have, and what do you hate about it? Any advice as to what kind I should try next? The shower feels very strong to me, so I'm thinking it's probably suitable for an aerating head and I'd get quite a saving on water and gas. The building work has taken two steps forward and only one back, so I'm living in hope. Today we got the painting finished in DD's room and the spare room.
Cath - it's nice to meet another long-hauler.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49
