Thanks everyone. Just over £300. All the usual oil change stuff etc, plus brake pads. Also needs some body work - it's those pesky little walls that are too low to see that somebody else was mentioning. Have to get that done at a body shop separately, so we'll have to see how much THAT costs too. And the caravan service coming up as well, which will probably need loads doing if it isn't written off. This is becoming a very expensive month from a vehicular PoV.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

My MOT, lower body work that you can't see, replacement of fuel tank strap and new rear wiper cost around £170. I only did what I had to.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Your quote seems really expensive. My MOT, lower body work that you can't see, replacement of fuel tank strap and new rear wiper cost around £170. I only did what I had to.
Thanks for the heads up. The thing is, I didn't get it serviced last time I had the MOT done, so it needed a fair amount doing and I had the "full service" this time - oil change, three filters, spark plugs and brake pads, and two and a half hours of labour came out at £260+VAT. I've been putting off the brake pads for a while, but they'd now got to the point where they needed doing to stay safe. I've got a quote for the bodywork that doesn't sound too bad - £20 for the parts, £30 for labour, and VAT - which is a lot better than I feared because I thought I was going to need a whole new bumper.I'm thinking of getting some upper body work that you CAN see . Payday today. Pay in, mortgage payment out, £25 to FL1, sig updated.
No major milestones this month, but at least there's a minor one - the total owed has just crept below £86k.
Oh, and if I don't get back on here before they go to read only for the weekend, then a happy weekend to all MFWs, and best wishes for copying with the forum withdrawal symptoms. :wave:Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

I shall await an update on Monday to see what you've been doing with your time.
Afraid I haven't been doing any OD recently. Haven't had the time or energy, or sufficient motivation to organise (and pay for) babysitting etc etc. Will let you know if I get started with it again in the autumn.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

An account containing a small amount of the EF has earned 18p interest yesterday.
Most of it's in two other accounts that will get theirs over the next few days.
So far I have been doing my exercise challenge for 9 days. I'm supposed to average at least 5 bike rides and/or walks a week, and I've done 7, so I'm pleased with that.
Bodywork on the car came to £50 all in, it doesn't look quite perfect, but it's a lot cheaper than a new bumper would have been.
Off to update sig.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49
