Hi, I have worked for Tesco for over 14 years on the checkouts and their policy hasn't changed.

I had some good news today, my manager told me that I had served the mystery shopper the other day and I got 100% :)

Hi, I have worked for Tesco for over 14 years on the checkouts and their policy hasn't changed.
I think some of the assistants make up the rules as they go along.
If you buy a product and you are overcharged, you still get a full refund and get to keep the product. There is a big sign to that effect on the wall behind the customer service desk.
You can use money off coupons if you havn't purchased the product as long as Tesco stocks it.
You can use a coupon for every item in your order i.e 6 items----6 coupons as long as they are not for the same item, so you could use say
    1 for beans,
    1 for butter,
    1 for cheese,
    1 for kit kats,
    1 for orange juice,
1 for shampoo, and so on.
As long as they are not Clubcard coupons, Tesco shelf edge coupons or out of the Tesco magazine, or out of the newspaper specific to Tesco. If they are you have to buy the product.
Tesco also accepts internet coupons that you print out yourself.
As for taking other stores coupons like Asda etc I think you have to have another store near you, so if you are using their coupons in Tesco you aren't using them in Asda etc. That wouldn't work at our store as the only store near us is another Tesco, there is a Morrisons but I never see any coupons for Morrisons and the nearest Asda or Sainsburys is about 25 miles away.
Some assistants forget they only work for Tesco they don't own Tesco.
    I hope this helps someone.

    Well Done!

Has anyone else had any very recent experience of New Oscot Tescos voucher policy? My husband got over £15 off again this week at a Tescos over Coventry way on his way home from work, but with the holiday period we shall have to shop at our nearest one.
The last time he went, several weeks ago, it was terrible. For any voucher a supervisor had to be called. No book, magazine or paper vouchers was accepted unless you bought the product.
I've got a few good money off magazine vouchers, and I'm not sure if they will accept these now. Previously they would only accept 5 vouchers, but as long as they sold the product you were OK. There was never any having to call a supervisor to inspect them either. Thanks.
  • I got £28.00 worth of Shopping from Tesco on Friday and paid £6, plus earn't over 400 Club Card Points :T

  • Went to tesco redcar yesterday spent over £20 on h&b products, went to till,it accepted 1 £5 newspaper h&b voucher,2 £2.50 tesco h&b vouchers and 3 50 points vouchers, operator tried more 50 point vouchers but till would not accept, also on friday self scan would only accept 3 50 point vouchers:confused:
  • Tesco at redcar are really strict, some of the cs staff always try to fob u off with misprices offering diffrence instead of refund, also if you take product back either from store or direct they take your clubcard number and deduct points, self scanners some of the assistants are really bad as in they only allow coupons for products u have bought, overall this store is really a unfreindly place to shop.

Tesco Extra at Wigston have (apparently) changed their policy - before Christmas they'd take up to 3 vouchers for items not bought - now none (and that's CS confirmed)

Good job I used all my high value vouchers up earlier in the month :p:D

  • I had £12 off a £36 shop yesterday - which included several quick read vouchers. If I had more vouchers the SA would have scanned them but I had swapped handbags and only had a limited supply.
