Actually, RBS have published rather conflicting details. In one section of the booklet linked to by stclair it is emphatic that no withdrawals are possible at non-RBS ATMs. Elsewhere it states a price for using your card at non-RBS outlets. Perhaps that means using your card to obtain cash over the counter?

It means to withdraw funds over the counter within a branch.

Anyone know how likely success would be with an RBS Select Application that went right through; confirmed I'd been successful for the account type applied for (ie select) and listed the others I could swap to. I then clicked next and it let me pick password and pick text options for balance updates etc...

Thing is I've applied before and NEVER got that far, however I've always been declined by AVU after sending signed forms back. The fact this has took me so far through ; to text options, does this look better or is it still just an application at this point? Hard to guess if it's good news or what?!

I just wondered if it's like a guaranteed accept now with the application going so far through.

Oh I declined to pick an overdraft as don't need one.

    Thanks :)

were you asked if you wanted an overdraft durring the previous applications declined by AVU ?

I think it is good sign (CRA wise) if they ask if you want an overdraft during the application as not all applicants are

The invitation to apply for loans/credit cards after submitting the application means nothing though

Oh, never asked for employment details either (strangely); I said I was full time but it never asked for my employer details - is that normal (can't remember)...

pretty sure it asks for income details (as they may ask for a bank statement as proof) and they ask for the number of credit cards held

They may have changed the form with the new account range though

Did they ask for proof of income to be returned with the forms in respect of the applications declined by AVU ? - if they send the forms for your signature and do not ask for proof of income it is an indication that they have already declined your application and are merely completing the formalities by sending the form

Credit card / loan is usually mentioned at the very end of the application - "do you want to add a credit card /loan/savings account to your application ?"

These are the application screenshots , I may have been mistaken about not being asked if an overdraft was required in the event that scoring did not qualify for it as these screenshots ask about overdraft requirements despite using a false home address - although that is a Key account application form so I am surprised it mentions overdrafts

It may be the out of hours aplication form

No, there is no padlock and no data protection declaration that you seem to think is essential. Please cite the relevant law or regulation that you seem to think requires this. There is no legal pre-requisite to have a "data protection declaration" complete with a padlock.

The initial tick box is enough to undertake a credit search.

For your reference, here are all of the screens that you see going through an application for a Key Account:

Thanks for your help - really appreciate it..

Hmm, my closing message doesn't read the same ie "IF you've been successful......"

Was hoping someone from Natwest could confirm (stclair where are you)...

Thats the out of hours form (no CRA access) in the screenshot - hence offering overdrafts ect

real time application forms start with cao

    eg https://www.cao.natwest.com

Nat West and RBS are showing out of hours application forms at the moment - just checked (previously they would take the application form offline out of hours)

Edit - The out of hours form is the one in the screenshots on page 83 of this thread (post 1660) not the screenshot posted by Debt-Regret on this page (post 1661)

my post may not have been clear on this - I was referring to the screenshots on the previous page

I applied at 6pm - thats within hours no?

    It did start cao...

Yes - thats within hours , they go offline at night and do not score as they go along

https://www.natwest.com/apps/secure/applicationforms_dda/asp/form.asp?appid=820 is the offline application form you will see if you visit Nat West now

note - does not stat CAO

this is the message you would have seen before they introduced the "out of hours" form

This application is available from 6.30am until 9.45pm. Please try again during available hours.

    Hiya

Any ideas then? Could it be an accept based on my last image showing the end message? I notice it doesn't say "if successful"...

It says "once we receive your paperwork , we'll complete your application and if appropriate send you your account number"

I don't know what on screen messages you received with your AVU'd applications

It looks like you will receive internet banking access before you have the account (5-7 days) so you will know pretty soon

Natwest/RBS applications made between 11.00pm & 7.00am are not scored live (the times may have changed though)

So in your case OP your application may have picked up a referal which will need some manual intervention.

Ahh so if it was instant accept I'd not have seen that screen or is that screen normal? I thought I seen that they never do auto accept as such, for new banking customers?

Sorry confused lol. Are you saying it's been referred based on that screenprint?

    Thanks again

To be honest there has been that may issues with the online application process over the years. I think they have changed the ending to cover all avenues really.

Im not sure if you are aware however there was may instances where people was told they was accepted when in fact they was not due to a manual intervention which got them a decline. Atleast now the ending is kind of thanks for your application but we`ll let you know. Because it says when we receive your paperwork we will complete your application.

If you take your passport and ID along with your reference number into the branch they will print off the paperwork for you so it will speed up the application process.
