The account is now up and running, card received and activated and I just need to register for internet banking now. Have to say they've been very professional and helpful as a bank to date (has taken less than a fortnight from start to finish).
Will be closing my Co-op Cashminder and my A&L account in the new year, never going near A&L again, as I've found them to be the pits....0 -

Thank you. I went to the branch last week with my ID so hopefully I should get something this week.0

Like I say - they do seem quite efficient. Used text verification to activate my card at the weekend, it was processed within an hour of business hours starting today.0 -

Thats very good, Im glad I read that as we applied for the step acount on Saturday and received the paperwork today, just a bit daunted with all the switching dd's etc and notifying benefits people, but its good to know that you have had good experience with Nat west.
BTW we have had nothing but trouble lately with Coop as well:mad:0 -

I don't blame you! I'm going to be doing the switching myself, as I don't have that many DDs and don't want it to get messed up.BTW we have had nothing but trouble lately with Coop as well
I've not had any trouble with them and will be closing my account as the internet banking's a bit too basic.0 -
Hi all, first post on this board :P
Just looking at switching to a new (or getting a 2nd) bank account, and the A&L Premier (with the £100 offer) looks pretty good, but just a couple of questions.
1) Which account to get? I see there is the Premier 50, Premier 21, premier Direct and the Premier Current Account... what's the difference? Where can I find out details? Which is best?
2) I currently have a job, and so the paying in £500 a month is fine, but I will be made redundant in March(ish), and so the salary pay in will be gone, at least for a while. I understand that I could always withdraw £500 in cash and then pay it back in, but I am also thining of going travelling, and so this would not be an option. Does anyone know if I would be to able to move £500 from another account into this one and still meet their terms about pay in amounts, or is literally ONLY cash, cheques and salary?
3) I've seen the you can get cashback (£50 from both Quidco and TopCashBack) for these accounts, has anyone had joy with this tracking/paying?
Hope someone can helpThanks in advance all

Is it true that Abbey are getting rid of Electron cards from today?!
Might have to ring up and say I "lost" the one that goes with my Instant Plus account I have with them and see what turns up! ;-)
