  • Hello I wonder if any of you could help me i'm having a lot of problems with claiming back my ppi. i was accepted for my compensation but it was taken off my outstanding balance which i shouldn't of had as i had to get a debt relief order so my debt was written off and my account should of been shut down last year by welcome finance but they didn't close it. When i lost my job i claim on my ppi i was turned down even though i was entiled to it which is where the mis sold ppi came in. i have said that i disagree with the decision made by Fscs and for the last 3 months they have been recalculating the claim everytime i phone i feel like i'm being fobbed off. thank you in advance for any advice or help given

I doubt you'll get a reply to this as the poster concerned hasn't logged on since January.

The size of your redress is based solely on the amount of payment protection policy paid.
Full redress is a refund of all premiums paid, plus 8%.

    Hope that helps..

Hi just wanted some advice (sorry to but in on ur post) My partner has asked me for help re claiming PPI. He recieved a compensation claim form from Welcome (without asking for it) but what i wanted to know is will this form be for all loans he has had with Welcome? Reason i ask is in 2008 he took out a loan for £11896 this was re paid at £248pm for 49 mths and the account was closed in 2011. He has had another loan in 2008 from them for £3814, this was to be re paid at £145 for 37 mths although there is still £379 left to pay. Will the compensation cover all accounts held?? I've already posted it back for him before he'd told me he'd had one that was already payed off and closed!! but i dont think it asked for loan account numbers etc and didn't say it was only for a specific loan? Also does anyone know out of those monthly payments he'd roughly be paying for PPI?? Just so i can calculate a rough idea of what he's owed back!! Thanks very much

I have just seen this thread, my husband had 4 loans through Welcome all with PPI, he has filled out the questionnaire off here for all 4, 3 of them he has sent to Welcome , can he just send the other one to the FSCS or does he have to ring for an application because he has called them a couple of times and they have took our address but we have never received anything.
