Emm..... Why don't you go and do something else instead of hanging around these forums just so you can slag mobiles.co.uk Not even content with that, anyone that dare says anything positive about them, you dive in there and try to make me look like I mean nothing. Like 3 out of 3 cashback claims equals what I say is not relevant? Once I have had "dozens" like you, then I may be worthy or I will be allowed to comment on mobiles.co.uk without you being a toss pot?
Funny how some people respond isn't it :rotfl:

Whilst you may have managed to take out a contract with mobiles.co.uk and nothing has gone wrong the "I'm alright jack" attitude does nothing to help those who have had problems does it ??? And it goes no where to explain the facts regarding the risks you take when dealing with the company does it ???

I bought a contract. I have had - so far - all the money they promised. The OP asked for a bit of advice with regard this retailer. I attempted that and you come along. You are like one of these other 4 or 5 people on the banking thread.

It comes as no surprise that you have managed to get your money back ....however a lot do with no problems so wha you claim is nothing new.

The reality of othe problems with dealing with mobiles.co.uk is that you have to understand the ethos of the company ...they are a "stack em high sell em cheap" company who have no CS whatsoever as has been proved time and time again when a problem crops up.

Even the smallest problem that should be able to be solved easily and smoothly gets turned into a major task ....the results are always the same they don't answer emails or the phone and when they do they tell tall stories and try to fob you off with all sorts of excuses ....unless you actualy experiance this sort of behaviour with them a lot of people fail to grasp just how bad it is.

As a result of this the odd post about "I'm alright jack" and nothing went wrong for me is not realy any help other than to point out what we already know ....which is if you are "lucky" and I mean "lucky" and nothing goes wrong you can get a reasonable deal.

As for the banking thread I've not read it however if it's Santander as you say then thats not a surprise either is it ;)

Take your negativity somewhere else. You and your 3 or 4 pals that dominate every possible thread about Carphone or mobiles.co.uk.
I assume I'm one of MJ's pals, as you call them as I slag off mobiles.co.uk :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

What you seem to miss here is that there are those people who have had problems with this company and can short cut getting the problems resolved without going through all the hoops. As you haven't experianced any of these problems then you cannot realy comment can you ??? ....apart from not understanding why people keep having problems with them of course ! :rotfl:

If that were true you should take off your "I'm alright" hat and do something posative instead of slagging off posters who do actualy help other members ;)

    Jeez oh!

Do you feel a bit better after all that messing about with bold and italics and copy and paste? Get it RIGHT off your chest!!!

I would love to spend some time breaking every other sentence down that you have made in retaliation but basically say NOTHING that has not already been said on this thread. But it's too nice a day and life is a bit shorter than I would like.

I won't be walking away from my laptop having left lot's of smilies - you seems to like these. But I will walk away knowing what I said is correct. Why your paranoid head needed to even comment on my post just confirms that.

PS - There are lot's of typos in your post - correct them quickly as your credibility is damaged just slightly by them.

Not wanting to join any argument, here's my experience.....

I've had many mobiles over the last 15 years (partners, kids etc.) and always take advantage of the cashback by redemption offers, as they generally give me the best overall deal.

I always take the approach that it is to the retailers's advantage for me to get something wrong so it's my responsibility to know exactly how/when to claim. So far, touch wood, I've always managed to get the full cashback with very little hassle.

I've been quite impressed with mobiles.co.uk recently (easy claim procedure - uploading the bills online and getting fast notification/payment). They have also paid my QUIDCO cashback quickly too (£50 for a contract taken late March will be paid to my bank account shortly).

My "kids" are all switching to Blackberry and I'll soon have 4 phones through mobiles.co.uk

Thanks for the replies, and to those having an internet fight here - thank you for your replies, but there's no need to fight over such a silly thing.
Anyways as far as I can see - mobiles.co.uk does really good when paying cashback if you do everything right according to their rules and the ones that had problems with their cashback system - they just read the rules carefully. That's my opinion about it at the moment. Anyways, I cannot take the deal I was looking into at that time, because they're out of stock. Also I found this strange thing, that some deals you can only find through such sites as omio(dot)com and moneysupermarket(dot)com which leaves me with getting no quidco cashback, I suppose.

    Here's an example:
    bit(dot)ly/iy6Wzf
I couldn't really find the same deal while surfing on their site, then the end of the URL has webgains add which suggests that sites such as moneysupermarket(dot)com gain money out of these "outstanding" deals which you can only find there. Also, probably you cannot gain any quidco cashback because of this as well.

Well, anyways, at the moment I can't really find anything I'd take without hesitation, though there's a great deal from dialaphone, but I don't really like their cashback system.

Hi. Thanks. I completely agree. I got my Quidco within 2 months and will end up paying £2.00 a month over 18 months for my contract because of the cashback I got/get from mobiles.co.uk

I am all for helping or warning people when I have anything valuable to add to the post. But it should not be a witch hunt against any one. Or just to constantly post bad things about a company or person. Anywhere else would call that bullying.

I can't wait for my cashback cheque - I have spent it already! :)

    Hey!

I know - sorry to have dominated your thread there.

Hope you find a good deal soon. If you find a better one elsewhere, I know that E2Save and mobile.co.uk will more often than not match it.

Just watch though as often you have to organise this by telephone with them, which means you will lose out on cashback from Quidco or whatever one you use.

Let me know how you get on.

    :)
