    Good Morning

How are you feeling today? Taking it easy I hope!

A treat is good for the soul as long as it's budgetted for which yours is now so no biggy :) Did you enjoy the fish n chips?

Ordering takeaways is/was my big weakness. At the risk of sounding like an addict - it's been 3 weeks +2 days now since we last had one which for us is good! Truth be told I haven't missed them as am really into my cooking at present although we did have a convo on Sunday as to getting one but we resisted. Luckily we're both on low fat diets at present too so both pennies and lb's are saved!

So how many meals/days will Mr T shop last you?

    x

The fish and chips were fab .... we live at the seaside so fish and chips are always fab :)

We haven't had a takeaway for ages .... I'm usually pretty good at popping something in the slow cooker. Trouble is I'm really struggling now with the SPD, and then with being ill on top, yesterday was just a no-go for cooking. Mr T shop will last a week combined with stuff we still have in the cupboards/freezer. They've actuallly just phoned me to say the store has had a system failure so they can't deliver today, so I have to wait until tomorrow. I've had to send DH to the shop for bread and milk and packed lunch stuff for tomorrow. They are sending me a £6 evoucher for the inconvenience though so I think I can forgive them.

I'm feeling ok, tired and achey. Didn't have the best sleep - trying to turn round in bed with this stupid SPD is becoming a military operation. I'm longing for a proper sleep ... might have to wait a while though with a newborn almost here :rotfl: Just going to take it easy today and try and rest while the kids are at school.

    Hey

Nice target to aim for. Think how you'll feel in a year:j

    I know!!! I can't wait .... :D

I know how it feels to be debt free as I got myself debt free before - this is technically hubby's debt, but it doesn't make any difference whose name it's in really, it's all coming from the household budget so we're both skint until it's gone. I think we'll probably treat ourselves to a holiday when the debt has gone :D

Know the feeling mrsspendalot. I am bored of looking at my spreadsheet daily and trying to find ways of cutting down my debt. Just keep plodding away at it. You should be relaxing though and enjoying the last part of your pregnancy.
    Halifax CC £1029/£2490, Tesco CC [STRIKE]£0/£3203[/STRIKE], Tesco loan £15431/£15808, Carloan1 £6743/£8241, Carloan2[STRIKE] £0/£3813[/STRIKE]

    I know, I know ..... it's just so suffocating :o

Had a bit of a breakthrough with DH though (who is a bit too laid back about the amount of debt he has ;)). He saw me stressing looking blankly at the screen and came over to look at it, and made a couple of suggestions to tweak it slightly to make this month easier. Upshot is we probably won't make the £1k target this month, but will make up for it next month. This month was always going to be tight because of the mess up with my wages at the beginning of the month. He doesn't see the point in beating ourselves up over something which was out of our control. He's right I suppose. I know my wages will be put right on the last day of the month, but it's kind of too late for May then, so carrying a couple of things over to June isn't silly, and it will have no effect on the debt free date.

I also need to make some provision for budgetting for car parking expenses whilst I'm at hospital and DH is visiting me ... or even for whilst I'm in labour  hate having to pay for hospital car parking

My kids have come home with some unexpected trips and things which I need to find money for too. It's just so hard. No matter how hard I try and budget for everything, we never seem to get moving forwards, as something always comes along and wipes out the savings made elsewhere :(

    Not much to report today

Mr T delivered the shopping this morning and I'm annoyed as something which I ordered at half price was charged at full, purely because the offer finished today - not my fault they had a problem and couldn't deliver yesterday as originally booked. I have emailed their customer services grumbling so hoping they refund the difference. It was dishwasher tablets on half price down from £12.98 ... I never would have paid that for dishwasher tablets so I'm not a happy bunny. Just waiting for the response now.

Got most of my ebay parcels ready for DH to take to the post office for me. £51.48 sat in Paypal account :D with 3 items to be paid for yet. One of the items is being paid for by cheque, and that has just arrived so need to get that in the bank and cleared.

Not having a good day physically today so am taking it very easy.

No money in or out of online banking today .... no CC statements in the post .... debt busting is on a temporary hold whilst I wait to be able to make some progress

Worked out that I can only squeeze a further £321 out of my budget for debt this month ... so will fall short of the £1k target :o but it will be evened out in June once my wages have been put right so I'm not going to get too hung up over it.

BTW - capital one do estatements and am not sure how you manage your card but I do mine online... its much easier and quicker than waiting on post - infact I hardly get any bills by post now its all electronic and some companies charge for the paper bills.

I find fiddling with spreadsheets and snowballs a past time of mine. hehe!!

Yeah we have online access for some of the accounts ... Capital One has arrived on paper.

I could check the Halifax online .... Santander seems to have closed DH out of his online account (as have Debenhams, but that is clear now anyway) so will ask him to chase that up as it is handy to have.
