Anyone got any comments on Al*i vs Mr T for quality of vegetables? Its a bit more out of my way but looks loads cheaper. But don't want to have to go to both. All input gratefully received.
Meal planned for next week and shopping list ready for tomorrow. Mostly need veg as freezer seems to still be full. Not sure how as I have been trying to run it down. Oh yes, I know, I keep giving in to whoopsies:rotfl:GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
I'm always really pleased with the quality of the fruit & veg from there, it seems to last well (in the old days you had to eat it on the same day but not any more) and the prices are outstanding!!!Feeding 2 adults and 5 piglets aged 7 months, 7, 8, 10 & 13. Thank heaven for Aldi!:rotfl:

Well, a large shop the other day has taken me over budget. Again. I know I have a really small budget compared to others, but I'm still really cross that I can't manage it. It's not like I buy expensive stuff, or ready meals, or anything like that. I just buy about 3 times what we actually need. I know I do it, and I know I shouldn't, but I can't stop it. Grrr!!!
Oh well, onwards and upwards. I will try harder next month to NOT buy more than I need!

Last night's Cumberland Pie was a success - clean plates again, I seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment, touch wood no failures as yet so all good.;) Tonight's dinner will be a Tuna pasta type thing that I will be throwing together later, need to double check what recipe I'm going to use and then may need to pop to the Shops - will declare total later as this is my last day of May GC.
Good luck everyone, we're almost there.:D"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Hi guys
Declaring at 313.72 for May. I know it's over but not by much so pretty pleased with that. Can I have 300 again please for June. Thanks for the lovely people who look after this thread. It's amazing the number of times I was going to nip to the shop and then decided to use something in the cupboards instead - therefore saving money:D
Have to stock up on meat from butchers at weekend and fruit and veg but still freezer stuff to use up so will tweak meal plan for next week to suit.Payment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0 -
hi all, updated sig with latest spend of £8.63.
I don't declare until Tuesday and I still have this weekend's spend to go so will probably go over. I have an apg to use and a few mocs so shouldn't be too bad.
Have a good day0
