Finally got my car back yesterday and we are now £280 poorer, but that was for the repair plus the m.o.t. and service, so it could have been worse, and OH has gone halves with me on the bill.

Today I went to Mr M's and spent £68.66, but only £39.01 is counted in my grocery budget.

Just a small spend for us today £4.80 and dont plan to go in a shop until Tuesday but you never know.
Have loads of meat in freezer but will need some smoked cod or haddock on Tuesday.
Tea tonight is jkt potato with some bolognaise sauce that was left from the other night.

Hope everyone who eats them has stocked up on the mullers in Morri$onS as the offer finishes tomorrow - it does in ours anyway.

Freezing here today and have just had the radiators on for an hour!!!! Not good.

A wee spend of £11 in T£sco this afternoon. Was actually £31.70 but had my last DTD voucher and a few coupons to use. Also found one of the 1p items from the 1p bargains thread :j

Looks like I'm doing OK this month, so will see how that goes. Onto summer menu planning which is pretty much salad / veggie stir fry every nite. That'll help with the diet!!
My name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!

I have to declare £19.50 today, which included a couple of whoopsied chicken dishes and a 5Kg bag of the Lidl basmati rice. I will be making pilau rice tomorrow which will pretty much use up my present supply. If anyone sees an offer for Flora light (99p or a £1 when on offer - currently £1.60 when not) please let me know as I am running low and I simply refuse to pay the high price and will stock up for a couple of months when I can.

Still have loads in the freezer but it is going down so easier to see what is there. I brought in a UFO tonight which is definitely a curry, and a fairly hot one at that. We will have for tomorrow night. I was amazed at how few good vegetables were available today in either Lidl or Tesco - the cauliflowers are a ridiculous price and the brocolli looked appalling at any price. Still, the summer and autumn gluts are yet to come so at least fruit and veg. should come down.

Still two more shops in the month, so I will have to look to freezer and larder to survive the challenge.

I have spent £34.10 for the month, but only £30 in my purse :rotfl:don't ask no idea. That includes some rabbit food.

I have loads in the freezer and for some reason my mum has 3 packs of reduced pork mince of mine in her freezer. Might make some pork and apple burgers with them.

Need to get some fruit, eggs and frozen wedges/chips (yeah I know)and some salad items. That should be ok for the week.

As long as I keep away from my local sainsburys at reduction time:rotfl:I should be ok.

    Yours

£30.83 spent this week, signature updated and no significant bargains found.... I've lost 26.5 lbs at SW since mid February, and not only am I not starving myself, it doesn't seem to have caused too much trauma in the grocery budget either :)

Billie-Jo I know what you mean - it was freezing here too today and I also put the heating on. At the moment I am on the sofa with a blanket. Where is summer I want to know!

Cranky well done on your weight loss. SW didn't work for me - I think I ate far too many carbs! but it sounds like you are doing great.

Dinner yesterday, today and tomorrow all from the freezer so no expense required - wonderful! However, my cats haven't quite understood the new budget - they absolutely refuse to eat cheap food!
