Have 5 guinea pigs and 3 rabbits-they don't all live together btw!!
One of them just loves tomatoes-he picks them up and then runs round the cage to hide it-he hasn't twigged yet that the dwarf rabbit that lives with him wont touch them.
I tend to buy their food from pets at home and give dandelion leaves and grass from garden plus carrots, celery, cabbage, apples and cucumber depending on what is cheapest at time.
I find however it's the cats that cost the most to feed-have 2 cats and a kitten.
Also have 2 dogs, a chinchilla and fish.
Maybe I should start charging admission to my house?lol

    Morning all,

Just taken the oven to bits - it's:eek: Don't know if two packs of cleaning stuff will be enough. I'm determined to have it clean by the end of the weekend though. So no fancy cooking here for me.

Need to get to the shops at some time though, just used up all my onions making a batch of chicken curry for the freezer. Been spending a bit extra co I have bought some weight watchers branded stuff, just started and decided it was worth having some stuff in just for me which I don't have to struggle to points count. :D I'll get there - determined to lose weight this time.

Will put a couple of chicken breasts in the halogen oven for tea, though what to have with them I have no idea, have some spring cabbage that needs using up so will base it around that.

GC money dwindling as I had to make a major freezer stocking purchase yesterday (5kg fresh chiken breasts and 2.5kg of cooked frozen ones - handy for a quick defrost for sarnies etc and almost the same price) Also stocking up on heinz chopped toms at A$da - £1 for 4 tins, as has been said, a girl can't have enough tins of toms.

Will update sig when I have sorted my recipts, have a good day everyone.

  • Hello everyone,
at last I have caught up reading posts.

dibblersan: thankyou very much for reply re offer toilet rolls.

Having a day indoors today as it is raining. Had planned to potter about in the garden but really too wet for that so will catch up on knitting. Will not go into town and spend money I don't need to. Doing really well on GC so far.....famous last words!!!

Lasagne for dinner tonight. So no prep really just heat in oven and serve with salad and crusty bread.

Hope you all have a frugal weekend.
It takes a long time to eat an elephant and I'm doing it a bite at a time!!!
