Yes PP buy curtains with thermal linings, I have them all through the house, draw them as soon as it starts to get dark and they keep the heat in really well. In the summer I keep them drawn in the living room until the sun goes off, keeps the heat out then.

Make sure they do not hang over radiators if the radiators are under the windows, the heat will channel up the space behind the curtains and not into the room. Mine hang just below the cill clear of radiators, if the curtains are a bit long you can tuck them behind the rads.........

OMG - Just had goose for the first time. It is DEELISH!! Even DS1 said it was the best beef he'd had in ages ... then we told him it was goose :rotfl: So, that's deffo on the xmas day menu - along with ham and maybe a chicken or small turkey, cos some guests (mum) don't like goose.

Someone put a large sherry in my wineglass!! Feel all squiffy now :D Still have to do the ironing too. AND, I jokingly told Mr TM that I fancied going on the "models prefer" girlie cruise next august (it's a make-up thing) and he said go for it LOL!! So, I may just go........ Well, he will just have been to the Czech republic for 11 days....... Anyone fancy sharing a cabin??

Ok, boys need a bath and hair wash, so I'll catch ya later.

    Have a good evening

ps PP - buy the curtains, you'll notice the difference in heat. If you've wooden floors, get a large rug too.

    Evening All

Had a good and bad day today.

OH & myself are going over options for our business since our horrible meeting on thurs - think we have come to a decision which means we are taking a big chance and may mean we have to comepletely change our circumstances early part of next year or we could be better off. Just what you need before Xmas but never mind - I keep saying to myself everything happens for a reason.

Its been good today since we went to a Xmas and Craft day at a local Nurserie and the farmers market was there also. Bought - Hot Smoked Salmon - lovely. A gammon joint and some pork and apple sausages (we will have these tomorrow) and 2 tubs of goats milk ice cream - 1 strawberry and 1 xmas pudding flavour which will be perfect for Boxing Day when we have family over as not many members of my family like Xmas pudding (i do though).

Have also emptied my washing basket and done some ironing. Am calling it a day for now but will finish the ironing tomorrow.

Gonna veg in front of the telly now - didnt put decorations up, will do it one day this week or next weekend at the latest.

    Take care

Good Evening all - hope we've had a good weekend

Nipped to Netto for a few bits, and went to the camping store to fetch some bits for the kids, as they are going indoor camping next wk end with cubs/scouts. Then home to do dinner then chilled out for the rest of the day with the kids, watching films.
OH and I still not talking.

Not done a great deal this week end, feel very lazy actually.

Off to make a cuppa now ready to watch IM A CELEB coming out, (sad I know)

Have a good night peeps, take care
    Love as usual

Happy birthday to your little DD Donna, hope she has a lovely day :)

My first meal, well bolognese sauce in the slow cooker a success, I made loads and have 3 big pots full cooling on the bench for the freezer, starting to wish I had a dish washer, all this OS cooking makes lots of OS washin up :(

Living room almost done, just one area to finish tomorrow, and the decorations I have are up which will shut up my little DS for a short while, he's lights/decorations mad. I managed to get him a little tree for his room aswell which he has LOADED with baubles etc and put up, he's very proud of it.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi guys

Sunday evening, at last - I'm knackered!

Came back from Plymouth today, 5 hour drive....v.v. tired :( Got back to London at 7pm and since then have just been relaxing in front of telly and feel guilty!! Does anyone else ever feel that way? I know I should have been clearing up paperwork, but instead I've chilled in front of the tv (school of rock) and caught up on threads.

Weekend was busy, catching up with SWest friends, the lady who broke her arm last weekend (shopping for her) and another who is being bullied at work :) Also saw some prospective accountants and sorted out my mortgage - hurrah!

Going to make some soup tomorrow night for my next drive down. Hard core OS :)

Nelski or PP - Can I come for tea? I sooo fancy a roast today - but the thought of going out to Mr T's, preparing all the food, cooking it, then wasing up and it's just me in today and I quickly go off the idea!

Have packed a big load up and am sending by pm right now:D that christmas dinner sounds lovely btw - better a gorgeous simple meal you cook yourself than one Mr T or Mr M&S cooks that puts you debt:money:

So meal went well and there is now enough to feed valentine, her family, her extended family, my family my mates family, my mates extended family....................you get the point:D so freezer boxes may be a bit scarce tonight!!

Maybe I should have done a poll on whether the tree would go up today but then again maybe not..........I think you know the answer:rolleyes: Just call me Annie!!

"Tomorrow Tomorrow the tree will be up Tomorrow..........you're always a day away":rotfl: :rotfl: :o

Night all here and morning aussie:cool:
