From memory the following are based at Reus airport
    Auriga
    Solmar
    Europcar
    Avis
    Hertz
We have found it cheaper to book through a broker rather than direct with the company and the last couple of times we have booked through doyouspain and had a pick up full return full hire and have got it. There is a petrol station not far from the airport towards Reus to fill up on return.

I thought DoYouSpain charge you for a full tank of petrol and you return it empty? Or have I got that wrong?

I've heard horror stories about them not giving you full cover when booking with them as well. From what I've read, all of the brokers are bad news! (Or is that just because people are only posting on review sites AFTER a bad experience?)

Yes, you are correct but full/empty is the usual method in Spain. If the hire is for three days or less then you can have full/full or possibly even empty/empty. always worth checking this out.

I usually use DoYouSpain and whole-heartedly recommend them.

Cheers. Do they charge for an additional driver?

Used the services of bestspaincarrental.com during a business trip few months back and was quite satisfied with the rates and services offered. Their prices are also all inclusive with the facilities mentioned above.

I can't remember how long the hire was for but once having booked with doyouspain I found a cheaper hire car, I contacted them to cancel, they came back with an even better deal which included the full/full. Last time I booked I emailed them and asked for a full/full hire and got it without any problems.

Thanks for your advice - I've just booked with doyouspain for just over £11 per day for a week in Menorca - very pleased

Right, I've just found out that Auto Europe will do me a Ford Focus (or similar) for £65.70 for the five days from Reus Airport. That includes an additional Driver, Zero Excess Insurance (including tyres and windscreen)

The car's being booked with Goldcar. All I will have to do is pay for a full tank of petrol (Around 80 Euros)

Should I go for it? I asked about DoYouSpain.com when getting a quote from AE, and the salesman said that they are quite new and do tend to do good deals, but beware of their currency rates (If you put the cost of the car from Euros to Pounds into XE.com, the price in Pounds can be a lot different!)
