Back filling the big hole I dug with my credit card

More bingo profits dribbling in, but still another £15.59 outstanding. Total is still at £61 though and now I have exhausted all the sites offering decent cashback.
Got my tax rebate request posted off yesterday and I'm pleased as I've only been wanting to do if for a month!
To my shame and annoyance I STILL have not listed the blooming meerkat on eBay. MUST do it today. MUST!
Also, some really good news, work found me something to do in London next week, so they are paying for my train tickets on the day of my interview! That is £133 saved! And I don't have to take time off either. I also earned £2.02 cashback on the train tickets- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

Hiya PBS
List the meercat tomorrow. I've had a free listings for the weekend mail from e*bay.
Good luck on the interview and very clever of you to get the travel paid for too - most impressed.

Thanks Ladies, very helpful!
Piquant: In fairness when I mentioned it to my line manager she was in total support and I didn't need to hide the job interview or anything. I hate snaking around and would have been very uuncomfortable doing it on work time and money without her permission. She is a brilliant boss and it is a shame the organisation is not what it once was, should we say.
Aesop: Thanks! That free listing came around quick didn't it? Not that I'm complaining! Hope your wage problem is sorted?
Been busy today and feeling a bit hormanal to boot. Never a good comboI still have more worky-type things I need to do this evening too.
Very much looking forward to kicking back this evening and maybe having a fire - it's freezing here!- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

God, is it only 5 days since I posted? Feels like a month! Really hectic few days.
Had job interview yesterday. I felt it went fine, but we'll have to wait and see if I'm the kindof person that they are looking for or not. Should hear Monday or Tuesday next week.
Submitted two essays yesterday for my course, this may sound good, but it is not. They took FAR longer to write than I had anticipated / planned and the second was was, frankly, utter rubbish. I have let myself down and I put a lot of strain on ATS in the process. I have looked at the course guidelines and it is possible to resubmit the assignment later in the year for a £75 fee. I may wait until the mark is allocated and then decide what to do.
The radiator in the lounge was leaking all last night as saturated the rug and soaking into our beautiful parquet floor. ATS had to drain the central heating systme to fix the problem and I have hired a dehumidifier at the cost of £90 for a week to try and dry the floor out. I hope it is repairable and we won't have to relay a section.

Monday again. Hope fully this week will bring some good news and I will hear if the job I had the interview for last week want to take me on, and if the other job I applied for want to interview me too. It has been three weeks since applications closed and they haven't shortlisted yet. ATS, although has been told he has been shortlisted, has not yet had the date for his interview. Maybe that might come this week too...
Money wise, we're skint - payday is Friday - ATS is going shopping today with £15 ASDA vouchers. I have £15 in my account, with a tenner-ish owing from the dehumidifier deposit. We sold the meerkat toy on ebay on the weekend for £21, so that's going straight in the savings when it arrives. Listed some more bits on the weekend and got some more bits togther to list. Only aiming for one a day, but its something.
Spent most of yesterday sorting, tidying and cleaning our bedroom. We got two huge bags of clothes for the charity shop. It felt realy good to be doing the job thoroughly. Even moved the wardrobe and hoovered and wiped the wall behind it, for the first time in over four years. It was  to say the least. ATS put a small shelf up in the airing cupboard for me so we've managed to create more space too. Unbelievably, there's still more to be done, but its a good start and the room is already a million times better.
Next Wednesday my current hours will be cut from 5 days to 3, and the following day we find out if we get our other contracts renewed. The enormity of those two things is weighing on me greatly and my anxiety levels have been very high. Luckily we have managed to build up a small buffer in case the worst happens but with the job market the way it is I'm not confident our buffer will last the amount of time it might take to find replacement work.

Just a quick post. Heard back about the job - they don't want me
Work has offered to keep me full time until September, which is a huge relief but not not my first choice outcome.
Still have one 'live' application in the pipeline, but they haven't shortlisted yet and I don't know if they will want to interview me.- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

Thanks so much pennywise - I really appreciate it.
Looked at the jobs websites that usually have adverts for my line of work today (nothing different about today this is a daily ritual now) and there is nothing new out there at allNot a goddamn sausage.
Did manage to find, via linkedin, a job that is WAY above my current position, but I thought "What the heck I have nothing to lose" and sent it off just for the feeling of doing *something*
ATS has got his interview on Monday lunchtime - so fingers and toes crossed for him.
Have an item on ebay ending tomorrow, its up to £13.64 at the mo with 5 watchers so hopefully it'll get a bit 'richer' before the close of play.

A new job was advertised today in the field and I applied for it immediately. It helped that it was a CV application rather than application form. There's pluses and minuses about the job itself and I'll just have to cross those bridges if and when it got to the job offer stage. No point in worrying about them before.
Sold three things on ebay today. 2 were for 99p, but the other went for £19 which was good. Got some other bits ending in the next few days but really need to get listing more things, especially now we have had a bit of a clear out.
Pay day is tomorrow, so will do the money hokey cokey. Managed to get my expenses in for work so that's good at least.- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746
