awww hun
sorry not been around much lately, my inlaws were here.
sorry to hear about ATS' job, can only think the Universe has something much better lined up for him and that is why he is currently without a job.
the good thing is you are in a position to have savings, which is better than most.
But you won't need to use them, ATS will get something much better before you need to dip into them.

So sorry to hear about ATS job, fingers crossed he gets something soon and you don't need to use your savings.0

Thanks Aesop and Penny. Your encouragement is always appreciated.
Income wise we are about where we were for the later half of 2010, but we have far less debt, more savings and lower outgoings. So we are in a better position than two years ago and we made it through then.
That said, we are on a time limit of expected income reduction in september, so we will need to improve a bit quicker than we did in 2010, where I didn't get a new job until January 2011. On the other hand, the loss of our contracts last week means we are both less restricted in terms of what we can apply for.
All in all, I am cautiously optimistic. If we can have a later half of this year as good as we did in 2011 I think we will be in a great position by 2013.0 -

If you have anything left you want to sell on ebay, free listing this weekend.0

Thanks Aesop. We've still got quite a few bits - including some kit we had for the old contracts that we no longer need. Should be £400+ if it can all sell. I haven't had any emails about the free listings though and isn't showing on my announcements yet. Hopefully it will come through later.
I put a couple of job applications in yesterday so fingers crossed there. PBS is on the train to her interview now and I'm sure she will wow them.
In our last four interviews between us we have both been told that we were a very close second. One day the world will have to run out of these people who are marginally better than us...
In good news, I have managed to use all my copious free time in the last week to regain some control of the house from the forces of chaos. Who knows. Some time soon I might start to take control of the garage...0 -
Ah so that's why you were so keen to suggest cutting my folk's hedge tomorrow! You thought I might suggest starting the garage!
