dmg24 or dx2, I dont care which, but please try and explain to me how such a person as myself that has recognised disabilities, through no cause of my own backed up by my specialists at the hospital cannot get a penny in the form of DLA and ESA yet alcoholics and drug addicts who self impose their problems are entitled to it....

maybe if i turn into a raging alcoholic and a smackhead i'd be better looked after by the shoddy government in this country...

As a couple of posters here are already aware the DWP are on a backlog atm and therefore a bit slower than usual. The call centre staff had a one day strike and as a result the peeps dealing with actual forms and assessments had to pick up some of the slack. I'm guessing bank holiday frenzy season isn't helping, along with all of those IB reassessments which will be hitting the DWPs turnover rate soon if not impacting on wait times already.

I'd usually advise just waiting... 'no news is good news' and all that clich!d jazz, but seeing as I'm currently in the midst of my second year of ESA warfare with the DWP ie= form - medical - 1st appeal - tribunal appeal (currently at 1st appeal stage - wish me luck, no idea how long it'll be before I hear back)...well I'm finding it hard to be patient too :p

sorry for going a little off topic, but i have a query regarding ESA...

i get esa and have some of it deducted because my wife claims carers allowance, she only gets £41 CA as she has some deducted for a social fund loan, my question is, should should my ESA be changed or is it correct that my esa stays the same?

If your wife got Carer's Allowance, doesn't that mean that you get (or got) DLA, and you said in your earlier post that you get ESA too?

I was expecting something more than you tube, when he said he had FACTS.

    its originally from the bbc...
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Maybe you could email him? Or I could pop up the next time he's home ;)

Maybe you could ask him if he has his CV updated? It's local elections shortly, so I daresay he'll need to be looking elsewhere very quickly. ;)

Carer's Allowance is one of the benefits taken fully into account when calculating your (household) income and entitlement to Income-Related ESA (see http://www.benefitsnow.co.uk/esa/income.asp)

So if the DWP have stated specifically that you receive £X less because your wife is receiving this benefit then it's likely that your ESA amount is correct, however asking them to recheck their figures is an option open to you.

I'm pretty certain that the fact your wife's benefit is reduced (due to repayments to the Social loan fund) is irrelevant in calculating your ESA entitlement.

    So?
When someone states they have FACTS, they should be able to back up these FACTS. Neither you tube or the BBC is where FACTS are found.

But you do get your ESA, as Two4Tuesday has already shown with your post history. So no idea why you state you get none when clearly you do.
