And if no-one pays, there won't be any 'entertainment'...
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

No p2p software involved. Who exactly is going to prosecute me? And for what?

and if watching them with p2p software then you too are guilty of stealing pay TV and subject to prosecution as such
  • I thought this was a Money saving forum rather than a "Steal what you want" forum:eek:

Calling all football fans. I have just cancelled my Sky Sports package as it now takes 31 days to cancel, this will allow you to still watch all of the remaining games but saving you about £40 in 2 months.

    Every little helps :)

Not strictly true, AFAIK you can downgrade at any time without notice and the 31 days is for a total cancellation. If I am wrong I stand corrected.

Evidently, you didn't read my post either. I said NO (that's non, nein, dim, geen, ne, aon, if you don't understand English) P2P software is involved...

I also doubt that the authorities will come looking to prosecute me either. Considering I'm not doing anything illegal...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

The whole point of that sentence was that you can be prosecuted for stealing pay TV if you are using p2p software and with that you are then streaming the match. If not using p2p software then no prosecution for that offense. Can you not understand plain English?

If you go for a total cancellation and they need 31 days notice, does that mean you still have the Sky service in place until the end of those 31 days (or do they cut you off straight away, but bill you for 31 days)?

IF the Sky account bill payer has passed away, do they immediately cut off the tv service then (as has happened with us) - to reduce costs, we've arranged to go completely with Virgin and will be installed by the end of May, but wary of losing the tv service we've got before then... although I appreciate we'll end up with an extra Sky bill if we delay it.

On a separate note, will the SkyHD+ box be of any use (eg for the free to air channels), or will it be completely dead?
