    Are you me?! :rotfl:

When told my DD's head was 35cm at birth my MW told me I must have a pelvis like a bucket :rotfl: No cone head with her, came out too fast :o

That's exactly right, it's more to do with the shape of your pelvis than the size of the baby's head. Nor has it anything to do with the size of your hips, shoe size etc, etc. I wear size 3 shoes and have hips like a 12 year old boy. Everyone told me that I would have a c-section, a terrible labour, a cone-headed baby and so on. My baby popped out with no trouble. Not sure I like the "bucket" reference though!

I was induced with my third baby, at 2pm I had gel.....nothing no pains at all......3.31pm they examined and said enough to break waters here (3cm and third baby) 3.40pm out Harry popped....no pain at all.

I will say though keep your shoulders down and relaxed and breathing so important really is,keeps you nice and relaxed.

lavendar Oil for after birth in your bath water to heal things up nicely.

Good luck-I cant wait to do it all again

My babe was 6 weeks early and 8lbs and they'd estimated him to be 4-5lb so I dont go on those weight scans at all.

I was always told it isn't the weight that matters it is the size of the head!

my second baby was 10lb and bloody hard pushing out lol

i was induced with my first baby by the gel method.

i was in hospital the previous night with high blood pressure as they were meant to do it that day, but they were so busy. so they said were do it at half 7 in the morning. and told my hubby to come up around 10/11 ish next day as nothing would be happening.

Well nurse did it about 7.15, i felt odd. couldn't describe it. very bad period pains. but i went off for a wee and wash etc. came backa nd said this is really hurting, they told me it fine it will be hours. my waters promtly broke, all over the ward floor  ( how much !) i asked if i was allowed to be sick :rotfl: then threw up everywhere, this all happened within 15 mins of the gel going in, and by 7.45 i had fully dilated and causing the ward a bit of a panic. can't really remember getting to labour ward, but remember a scan and then telling me to sign a form, i think i just threw the pen at the form and said thats will do :rotfl:, then i next remember recovery ward with a cup of tea.

Baby was breach and ended up being emergancy section. i was awake the whole time ( photos to prove) but i don't remember it. hubby said he got there just as they were starting.hospital staff were excellent the student m/w waited for hubby and got him organised so he could be there.

so from my experiance induction can be very very quick and fairly pain free, considering i was pushing a baby out bum first and i can't stand pain, lol. just wish i could remember a bit more of it.

as for sweep's. my second baby went over due, had a few sweeps and he wasn't interested in coming out:rotfl:

good luck hun, i'm sure it will be fine.
