"AC power conditioning for the KSS is, again, done to the max. Next to the garage, there are two mammoth General Electric 13,800-volt/800-amp step-down transformers; all of the cabling is audiophile-grade wire, and every aspect of performance and presentation is scrutinized, even down to the 40-amp cryogenically treated circuit breakers for each and every component in the system."
Crazy bloke. Everyone knows cables and cryo treatment cant make a difference..............:idea:0 -
Kimber mains and interconnects to replace conventional ones.

Im a big believer in their mains cables (Some 16 core old style reference ones should be coming this wednesday)
Not a fan of their interconnects though, too 'bright' for my liking. I much prefer OCC copper (Like Atlas Titans etc):idea:0 -
Is there a zero missing off the OP's budget?
For £500, he can afford a budget CD/iPod dock/amp and speakers, but not much more.0 -
It might be the best home audio setup but its not the best home media set up, he went for a ps3 instead of an xbox.... loser!!0 -
I want to play different music in different rooms. I do agree the budget of £500 was a bit naive!
I want to use napster at £10/£12 a month to stream music to it. So far BOSE are looking like the winner.Things are far easier than you think.0 -
You need to specify EXACTLY what your after dricer. So you want a stereo pair of speakers in different rooms? How many rooms are we talking? You want one room with a pc in to control the napster stream? Do you want an amp in each room? Or one amp to power all the speakers? Will you only be using napster for music?
There are so many questions here you really need to start explaining exactly what it is your after. At the moment we still cant offer any advice as we simply dont have enough information.:idea:0
