Hi, i'm 28 and get married sept 12, I'm 5ft 4" and weigh about 10 stone.
I would love to weigh about 8 1/2 stone for the day but feel i may be dreaming!
I have been trying for weeks now, just eating porridge in the morning, 1 piece of fruit and chicken salad for lunch but I get in from work and am starving! I have been trying to stick to 1 piece of fruit when I get home but it's difficult as my H2B doesn't generally get in from work until about 8.30ish which means i'm cooking dinner for when he gets home and eating late!
The weekends are the worst, we're trying to lay off the booze now, have got a lot better with this and managing to save money which is a bonus!
Last Tuesday my H2B put us both in the ballot for the London Marathon next April so i've stated to do the beginners training plan and so far it's going well but I have a track record for giving in! I don't think i've lost any weight so far but never measure myself, can never be bothered!
I have an implant too, it's due to come out in October and I wont be having another, I gained about a stone from getting with my H2B and put it down to being content but thinking about it, the implant could have contributed, wondering if to get it removed earlier...
I wish you all luck in the weight loss, it's not easy!

Hey Kate, welcome here. :-) I just joined recently and everyone is great here :0)
Well done to everyone who has lost weight. I am really scared of the scales though and I feel everytime I step on them, it changes, sometimes i can gain, or lose, and sometimes it stays the same!!! Could it be the location of the scales? Hmm may be its all in my head! lol
Yeah the implant!!! that is a very bad thing. I had one put in a year ago, and that def made me put on weight, plus the mood swings, grr. so i had it taken out and even the nurse agreed that it makes most women gain weight. now that weight I have gained is the most difficult to get rid of. :0(
Did Kung fu today as I do that every Saturday with H2B, however, we work so hard, that by the time we finish, I am starving and today I have been bad, as I had an omlette for lunch but whilst at Sainsburys, I saw a packet of Randoms and guzzled down a few.. Then for dinner, I made a curry and then had a little slice of Organic carrot cake!!! I fancy some more now!! :0(
Am sitting and doing some job applications, but that is boring me and all I keep thinking of is the cake.. grrrrrr
a big well done to everyone for losing weight!!!:jBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Happy Happy Happy...I've lost 3lbs this week and at least half an inch of each all the bits I measure :j:j
And best of all I don't feel like I'm starving myself - on various evenings in the past week I've had pasta bake with too many garlic dough balls, sausage/bacon/chips grill up and steak and pudding with chips...and got through a tub of Ben & JerrysBut I swapped ice cream for frozen yoghurt, had sensible size portions and cut out all (well most!) of the snacks through the evening

Hi all, can I please join in the thread too? It will be great to have support from fellow wedding countdowners!
I'm hoping to lose about 3 stone in total, and am currently doing Slimming World. I rejoined 5 weeks ago, and have lost 9.5lbs so far. The pressure is definitely on me as I've ordered my wedding dress 2 sizes smaller than I currently am! (or was when I was measured - probably slightly smaller now!)Getting married 12/11/2011

Hope every one had a good weekend :0)
Hey ellay,
Huge well done for your weight loss. Its amazing news! :0) Keep going and we can ALL do it!
Had a bit of a bad weekend esp yesterday as got bit stressed with the venue arrangements for the wedding, and had 3 digestives with tea and then for dinner some Dominos pizza. I thought i am not going to feel guilty as I needed that :-( This morning I did step on the scales with fear and it showed I have lost a bit. I never keep count as the scales just annoy me!
I think you are right though about the portion sizes. I have cut down a bit and feel am not that hungry anyway. was so used to finishing off whatever was in my plate.!
welcome Bluespirit! :-) I used to be with slimming world, and they are quite good. I am wondering (still wondering) whether to go back to them or try weightwatchers as on there you still can eat naughty things but obv counting points.. hmm not sure.
Still in a grumpy mood as have to chase up the venue guy, who is not being helpful in getting me a second appointment, so I hope I do not kill anyone at work today! :mad:Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Hello All, :0)
A quick question. Is eating a lot of fruit bad, calories-wise?
Thanks.

Well obviously fruit has calories and tons of sugar so any fruit you eat adds to the tally, but some are more calorific than others. Fruit calories are probably better than kitkat calories though, so its a better choice if you snack because of the vitamins and fibre.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Thanks codemonkey,
Yesterday I had quite a bit but was spaced out and I managed to not eat anything sweet that was naughty. I got myself a bar of dark chocolate (yuck), in case I get the urge, but I managed and I hope I can today. Hope you are doing good. :0)Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Hi all,
Well I had lost 6lbs up til last week but then put a 1lb on, boo. Was told not to worry though as my measurements are still coming down, have now lost 6cms round my waist and my clothes are fitting better, yeah!
Rups, I was told only to eat 1 - 2 small pieces of fruit per day because of the sugar - hasn't stopped me eating bowls of strawberries, rasps and blueberries with natural yoghurt, yumarama!0
