No such thing as a lost cause Rups! I will NEVER, I repeat NEVER, give up bacon and sausages! I'm trying to eat a little less processed stuff, not cut it out altogether. That would be impossible :o

The way I see it, as long as I up my intake of water, vegetables, wholemeal carbs and unprocessed protein, and check my portion sizes I will lose weight. Even if I decide that I want a cheeseburger and nothing else will do! I just make sure that my next meal is very healthy, and refuse to feel guilty about it.

I think that the hardest thing when trying to lose weight is letting go of the negative associations we have with food - all the 'oh no, I've eaten a Bad Food; that's completely ruined my diet, I can't do it and may as well give up'. No such thing as a Bad Food, just food you need to eat a bit less of.

awwwh thanks so much white sapphire. you have def made me feel better :0) Thank you. So positive about food. You are right. I tend to forget that I always have this negative relationship with food and I need to deal with that. Yesterday, I actually thought that I miss chips and stuff like that. LOL.

I finally feel better now, esp after the fry-up, berocca and black coffee (yuck). I feel tired and I do not want a repeat of this, as I know my tolerance of red wine is low. :-( Vodka/soda for me next time. haha. :0) Thanks so much.

    t - chicken, chips and beans :o

Exercise - 45 mins of hockey which apparently has burnt off 374 cals :)

Hockey?!! Flashbacks to high school, blaise pitches (still bear the scars) and vicious older girls swiping at your shins with their sticks. Uggh. Better you than me slowlyfading :rotfl:

Rups, please don't worry about it. I've always found that if you designate a particular food/food group it becomes all the more tempting. I become almost gollum like - "precious mars bar". Besides hangover=fry up/salt n vinegar crisps and irn-bru. It's a rule. It's done. Write it off and start again tomorrow. Where are you going to in Scotland?

    Sapphire, excellent advice as always.

As for me, despite my mess up on Tuesday I've lost 3lbs, which I think shows just how much junk I eat normally. Gym today and yesterday, because weirdly, I'm a bit grumpy without it. Been trying to blast the bingo wings and my arms feel all achy now. I totally want chocolate but keep telling myself how good it will taste tomorrow. I must break this mindless snacking habit.

Thanks. Just have to try not to get fixated on the weight because when it hits a plateau I get discouraged and eat everything.

Just watching supersize v superskinny. Some people are very odd.

well today I sinned...I went to Costa's and did order a skinny hot chocolate but then ordered a caramel shortcake...and later went to McDonalds and had a cheeseburger. But that comes after 2 days of barely eating anything as I had a bug so I'm hoping it won't count lol

Supersize v Superskinny is one of my guilty TV pleasures! H2B refuses to watch it so I don't get to see it that often :o

Ellay, I'm sure that won't count - it's medicinal, after all... ;) Glad you're better - there seem to be a lot of bugs going round, I'm surprised I haven't caught one yet! (and have probably jinxed myself by saying that :rotfl:)
